Abstract: A shielding brassiere fabricated of a soft supple material such as cotton interwoven with stainless steel threads to shield and screen the breast from electromagnetic radiation.
Abstract: A nail polish bottle holder having a receptor well for the bottle and an elongate strap affixed to the well for securing the holder in a convenient place as for example a woman's wrist.
Abstract: A brush with flexible bristles in which each bristle includes a flexion integral with the bristle to provide innate resilience to the bristle for flexing along its longitudinal axis. The brush fitted with the bristles includes a perforated brushhead for passing the bristles so as to maintain the bristles on their axis. A trapezoidal bristle grid provides for bristle density in the brush comparable the standard brush density.
Abstract: A sealing arrangement for trocar tubes including an upper ring seal forming the primary seal, and a lower seal valve forming the secondary seal. Both seals form part of a valve system which can be positioned within a removable cartridge. The seal valve is elastomeric in tubular form for passing instruments and is provided with upper and lower flanges for placement within the trocar. The intermediate portion of the valve between the flanges is in the general form of converging and diverging frusto-conical sections which join along a sealing line. A seal is formed between the interior wall surfaces of the valve and the instrument present in the trocar tube. Peritoneal pressure is admitted to the trocar head or housing for pressing the valve in forming the desired seal. With the instrument removed, the valve walls engage each other along the seal line to form the desired seal.
Abstract: A thin-walled plastic beverage container is provided with a gripping support that eliminates many of the problems associated with pouring and drinking from such containers.
Abstract: A display package for ribbon and like materials in which a length of ribbon is wound onto a supporting blank preferably fabricated of paperboard which partially encloses the wound ribbon and partially exposes the ribbon for inspection and evaluation by purchasers.
Abstract: An informal baseball game played with a few players on each side, equipment for defining a strike zone and hit zones, and with a set of rules.
Abstract: A carrier for small animals includes a removable front wall which serves as a door, as well as a removable bottom wall which serves as a sliding floor. An animal is captured by removing the sliding floor, enclosing the animal from above, and replacing the sliding floor.
Abstract: A set of one or more tiles is provided with a partially complete design permanently inscribed thereon for use in guiding the user to complete the design including structural and artistic elements of the completed design.
Abstract: A fire detection port installed in doors of occupied structures provides visible and audible signals on one side of a door in the event of fire on the other side of the door.
Abstract: A beverage brewing apparatus is disclosed which includes a housing having a base for supporting a carafe with a brewing basket and a body defining a water reservoir, a brewing assembly including a heating chamber communicating with the water reservoir and a heating element in thermal contact with said heating chamber, and a dispensing assembly including a valve member supported adjacent an outlet port of the heating chamber, a thermally responsive actuating member disposed within the heating chamber and connected to the valve member for moving the valve member from a closed position to an open position when water contained within the heating chamber is heated to a predetermined temperature.
Abstract: Replacable refiner plates used for papermaking and refining of lignocellulosic and other natural and synthetic fibrous materials in the manufacture of paper, paperboard, and fiberboard products. The refiner plates include blade patterns and use corrosion resistant materials.
Abstract: A sealing arrangement for trocar tubes including an upper ring seal forming the primary seal, and a lower seal valve forming the secondary seal. Both seals form part of a valve system which can be positioned within a removable cartridge. The valve cartridge comprises a tubular open-ended housing in which the seal ring is fitted to the top opening, and with the seal valve located within the housing. The seal valve is elastomeric in tubular form for passing instruments and is provided with upper and lower flanges for placement within the cartridge.
Abstract: A jigsaw puzzle sculpture comprising a plurality of interlocking pieces with a suspension point which is oriented relative to the center of gravity of the assembled puzzle sculpture. The suspension point is provided for display of the figure on a display means such as a horizontal rod member, or vertical balancing point, thereby replicating the natural posture, position, stance or carriage of the replicated figure. In the preferred embodiment, the puzzle sculpture replicates a living or extinct creature, such as an exotic, endangered, or extinct bird, which perches on a branch in a natural position.

Abstract: A support for a balancing sculpture in the form of an arcuate perch with a hanger mounted on the perch for movement between a first position for suspending the support from a ceiling, and a second position for mounting the support on a wall with the hanger engaging a wall hook.
Abstract: An improved fire control mechanism for firearms in which a connector is interposed between the trigger and the sear with the connector assembly and sear coupled through a linkage, interruptable by a disconnector, such that with a safety cross-button pushed to "Safe" position, the trigger, sear and hammer are blocked when the action is closed. The arrangement prevents accidental discharge of the arm in the event it is dropped, struck or disturbed, and so forth.
