  • Patent number: 5578912
Abstract: An on-car motor driving apparatus is equipped with a motor for moving a moving unit such as a window of a motor car, a motor driving controller which controls the revolution, stop, and rotational direction of the motor, and a current measuring and comparing device which measures the variation in current per unit time of the motor and compares the measured variation in current with a preset value. The on-car motor driving apparatus stops the revolution of the motor and/or reverses the rotational direction of the motor through the motor driving controller. The apparatus is further equipped with a voltage measuring device for measuring motor driving voltage and a voltage-based time setting device which changes the length of the unit time in accordance with the driving voltage value measured by the voltage measuring device. Line voltage is supplied to a differential amplifier only when the line voltage is supplied to the motor.

  • Patent number: 5574514
Abstract: A communication system including a plurality of audio/video devices including one or more audio signal source devices and image (video) signal source devices connected to a bus, each audio/video device of a common type having a common bus address. Each audio/video device is provided with a predetermined priority value which is stored in memory. Upon power up, every device transmits a communication frame including its own address and its priority value on the bus. When two or more common-type devices (i.e., having a common address) are connected to the bus, conflict is avoided by disabling the device or devices having lower priority values. That is, when each of the common-type device receives a communication frame having the common address, the device compares the transmitted priority value with its stored priority value. If the stored priority value is less than the received priority value, the device disables itself.

  • Patent number: 5574705
Abstract: A player for selecting and playing a disc (such as a CD) capable of accurately locating its moveable portion for selecting and playing the disc and accurately clamping a selected disc. The moveable portion for selecting and playing the disc is provided with a first and a second moveable chassis. When drive levers are driven by the force of a motor, the second moveable chassis is moved upwards/downwards by a link mechanism. The first and second moveable chassis are mutually locked by locating/locking plates to be moved upwards/downwards. When the first and the second moveable chassis have been moved to the position for selecting the discs from a magazine, the locating/locking plates are moved to be engaged to locating portions formed into plural stages of locking mechanism portions provided for the case of the player so that the first moveable chassis is properly located. As a result, the relative position between the moveable portion and the disc in the magazine is determined accurately.

  • Patent number: 5572490
Abstract: In a magnetic head apparatus that generates a strong magnetic field of magneto-optical recording or the like, a joint assembly of main and side cores is fitted into an accommodating groove formed in a ceramic slider, and a bobbin having a coil wound around it is fitted onto the main core. Further, a back core is fastened to the main and side coils. An electrical insulating layer extending along the dimension of the magnetic path is formed in the main core to divide conductive region by the sections of the main core. Thus, the eddy current generated along a dimension perpendicular to the magnetic path is suppressed, whereby the core loss is mitigated and the quantity of heat generated in the core is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5563600
Abstract: A remote-controlled apparatus improves the reliability of a vehicle security system. Each time the transmitting unit transmits data, a first code updating section changes a variable code storage in a memory in the transmitting unit by predetermined shift processing to form a new variable code, and replaces the preceding variable code with the new variable code. An ID code setting section sets an ID code formed of the variable code and a fixed code. Predetermined data including the ID code and command signals is transmitted. When the receiving unit receives the predetermined data, the fixed code and the variable code in the received ID code are compared with a fixed code and a variable code stored in the receiving unit.
