Abstract: A testing head for a high voltage non-destructive tire testing apparatus that is positionable inside the carcass of a tire to be tested without spreading the beads of the tire. The testing head includes a horseshoe shaped body portion with a pair of depending legs. An electrode is operably coupled at the end of each leg. One of the electrodes is attached to a high-voltage power source and the other electrode is attached to electrical ground. Each electrode may be attached off-center from the center of gravity of the electrode so that the electrode is positioned at an angle with the leg to which it is attached when the testing head is suspended by the body portion and the electrodes are not in contact with a tire or other surface. When the electrodes are brought into contact with the inner surface of the tire carcass, the electrodes rotate into a testing orientation wherein each electrode is substantially perpendicular with the leg to which it is attached.

Abstract: A treatment for dry eye syndrome. An at least partially sealed chamber including a reservoir for moisture for surrounding the eyes is disclosed. The invention may be transparent for use during the day or in association with prescription or non-prescription lenses. The moisture chamber may also be opaque to act as a blackout mask for sleeping.

Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, a blow molded drum has a port including a neck with exterior buttress threads and a port opening having a shoulder. A snap-in down tube assembly seats with the shoulder and has an upwardly extending nipple. Either a dispense head or a closure seats within and is secured by a threaded retainer nut. The dispense head has a first flow duct extending to a nipple engaging portion to seal with the upwardly extending nipple and a second flow duct leading to an annular space around the nipple for a return fluid line or for providing air or a gas for displacing withdrawn fluid. In a preferred embodiment the threaded nut provides an axial tightening force and also provides an axial removal force that disengages the nipple engaging portion with the nipple as the retainer nut is loosened.

Abstract: An insert and method of use for conjoining plastic tubular end portion to form a beadless weldment. The insert comprises a first core portion having a longitudinal axis and a first circumferential surface, and a second tubing contact portion having a longitudinal axis, a second inwardly facing surface and a third circumferential surface, with the second and third surface in concentric relation to each other, and the second tubing contact portion operatively connected to the first core portion. The first core portion and the second tubing contact portion are longitudinally movable relative to each other between a first conjoining configuration and a second removal configuration.
