Abstract: Systems and methods enable remote (or “off-campus”) users complete authorized access to full-record content of 3rd-party databases subscribed to by the user's institution. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method and system that acts as a transparent conduit between the user and a remote database, managing relevant session/context information without the user's awareness and without the need for users to install plug-ins or configure browser proxies.
Abstract: The invention is an tool for measuring and marking wall sheathing materials such as drywall, veneer, paneling, and various other wall sheathing materials. The tool provides rolling contact to protect finished surfaces and also maintains parallel positioning to maximize accuracy.
Abstract: A battery paste composition incorporates and promotes the formation of tetra basic lead sulfate using a micronized TTBLS additive, and eliminates free lead using a special oxide, during paste mixing and drying. Battery plates utilizing the disclosed battery paste composition are produced without the need for curing, and instead can be used in the battery immediately following plate drying.

Abstract: A string mounting system for a stringed musical instrument (10), comprising a helical tension spring (22a-f) connected in series with each string (14a-f), each string (14a-f) being collinear with its corresponding helical tension spring (22a-f), wherein each string (22a-f) is provided with an inertial damper (16) which is received within the body of the respective helical tension spring (22a-f).
Abstract: A process of making an improved sheet/card laminate for packaging, signage, displays, transaction cards, ID cards and the like. The process comprises registering flat sheets to a film and then laminating the film or transferring coating(s) from the film to the individual, generally flat sheets via an adhesive. The film or coating(s) may include layered security, functional and/or decorative features.

Abstract: A non-toxic corrosion inhibitor and method comprising hydrotalcite or a hydrotalcite-like complexing agent and one or a combination of an organic or inorganic corrosion inhibitive complexing agent, provides improved corrosion protection on metal substrates and utilizes synergistic corrosion inhibitive mechanisms.
Abstract: The present invention is a process of creating durable Uniform Resource Locator links to results of performing web-enabled functions. The web-enabled functions are performed using a system delivered user interface requiring users to authenticate within the system. After authentication, the user will be able to perform a first user function that will create Uniform Resource Locator link results derived from the first user function. The user will then be able to conduct successive users functions, either dependent or independent of the first user function results without having to re-authenticate. The successive user function will then create durable Uniform Resource Locator link results derived from the successive user function without altering the previously created Uniform Resource Locator links to previous user function results.

Abstract: A rain gutter cleaning system of the invention comprises a generally planar panel, or two generally planar panels, movably secured to the bottom of the gutter. The rain gutter cleaning system includes a hinge securing one end of the generally planar panel to the gutter. One generally planar panel is normally disposed in a first position. In this first position, the generally planar panel is adjacent to, and generally parallel to, the gutter. The generally planar panel may be moved to a second position. In this second position, the generally planar panel is pivotally spaced apart from the gutter.
Abstract: A liquid corrosion inhibitor comprising a primary, secondary, tertiary or mixed amine complexing agent and a carboxylic acid complexing agent, and may further contain a pH adjusting agent and an antifreeze agent, which is capable of providing both short-term and long-term corrosion protection on ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates and protection from flash rusting commonly associated with ferrous metal substrates, without adversely affecting high gloss in coatings.
Abstract: A flexible carrier apparatus comprising two rods and two flexible straps. The flexible straps are attached at opposite ends of the rods. One rod is placed under and then above the other rod, thus creating two nooses from the flexible straps, used to carry objects. A netting portion spanning the flexible straps is used to carry smaller objects. A securing device may be used to hold the objects together when the apparatus is not being carrier. A holding device may be used to hold the apparatus in position to receive objects.
Abstract: A battery paste additive, and process for making the same comprising micronized seed crystals of tetra basic lead sulfate, is added to battery paste and results in accelerated curing time and other improvements in battery performance. The battery paste additive may be used to produce positive or negative battery plates and may be use with conventional mixing, pasting and curing processes and equipment.

Abstract: A universal fastening system for a pole comprises an adjustable upper bracket and an adjustable lower bracket each having a plurality of mounting holes, allowing the brackets to accommodate poles of varying size. The upper and lower brackets are mounted to one or more planes of a structure and cooperatively engage and support the pole.
Abstract: A flexible carrier apparatus comprising two rigid independent rods and two flexible material straps. The flexible straps are attached to the opposite ends of the rigid rods. One rigid rod is placed under and then above the other rigid rod, thus creating two independent nooses from the flexible straps.
Abstract: A telecommunication equipment device in the form of a wall rack assembly used to accommodate a plurality of network interface units and used to interconnect a plurality of service lines of the network service provider with the customer's lines to serve as a demarcation point for legal tariff issues. The wall assembly includes a shelf assembly having at least two customer interface module connectors, each capable of receiving a detachable customer interface module, thus allowing flexibility in mounting in difficult to access areas, such as a corner of a room, closet, etc. In furtherance of the space saving and flexible mounting advantages, the wall assembly further includes a cover which can be installed and removed by lifting straight out away from the shelf assembly.
Abstract: A method and device for obtaining an accurate flow rate measurement through a fluid flow system. A nozzle and gauge tapping combination is connected to a fluid flow system. Fluid enters the nozzle as turbulent flow. As the fluid passes through the nozzle, the turbulent flow is converted to laminar flow due to the shape of the nozzle. Once in laminar flow, the pressure at that point in the nozzle is constant, and therefore the pressure, and thus flow rate, can be measured with greater accuracy.
Abstract: The present invention is toy or educational tool comprising a container shaped and decorated to portray a doll or thing being studied and housing puzzle pieces inside that, when assembled, create an image of or thematically related to said container or thing being studied.
