Abstract: A waterproof sealed signal light is mounted on a trailer frame. The signal light has two conductive leads with one of the conductive leads being a massive electrically conductive plate-like member which doubly serves as a mounting member. The mounted light is encompassed within an insulating resin-like material.
Abstract: A toilet waterfall including a cover member arranged to fit on the open top of a flush tank of a conventional toilet and having a series of drip pans supported thereabove in superposed, staggered relationship so that water delivered upon flushing of the tank will be delivered through a suitable conduit to the uppermost drip pan to create a series of small waterfalls and another conduit for return of the water ultimately into the flush tank itself.
Abstract: A ball throwing machine which includes a pair of rotary discs supported for rotation in angularly opposed relation so as to laterally engage a ball and effect propulsion thereof, each disc being composed of a back-up plate with an annular groove and a flat resilient section thereover, the discs being mounted on connected shafts enabling rotation by a single prime mover, and being capable of offset connection so that the ball will be engaged by the discs at different radial positions.
Abstract: The invention constitutes a method of and apparatus for measuring the absolute wavelength of a source of unknown frequency radiation through directing radiant energy of known frequency against a diffraction grating of predetermined pattern so as to image a calibrated scale on a suitable screen or the like, and then directing the radiant energy from the unknown frequency source along the same path to the diffraction grating and onto the screen, where a visually available easy-to-read measurement of the wavelength appears.
Abstract: A repair kit for holes in walls including a thin flexible support plate dimensioned to bridge a hole to be repaired, a cooperating reaction member also arranged to bridge the hole, and means for holding the plate and reaction member against opposed wall surface adjacent the hole.
Abstract: A control valve for hydraulic systems including a sleeve and a spool supported for slidable motion therein, the sleeve and spool having control lands supported in slightly spaced relation to avoid chipping or abrasive contact and resultant imprecision in valve accuracy.
Abstract: A continuous grader for fruits or the like including a unit having a plurality of aligned V-troughs and projecting fingers secured to the terminal end of a shaker table across which the fruit moves in a single layer.
Abstract: A spark plug generally similar to standard design including a body member supporting a pair of electrodes to provide a spark gap in the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, the side electrode carrying a projecting extension outside the spark gap but still within the flame ignition and combustion zone of the engine so as to provide a reaction member which enhances the action of catalytic agents in the fuel or alternatively incorporated in the reaction member, itself.
Abstract: An electronic ignition unit which can be installed as a simple replacement for a conventional distributor including a "breakerless" transector for supplying firing pulses in timed sequence to the spark plugs of a conventional internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for measuring the wavelength of a source of radiant energy which includes passing split beams generated by such source along the same paths as those from a source of known wavelength and then comparing the number of interference fringes developed by the two sources as an element in one common path is varied in its disposition.

Abstract: An automatic circuit breaker for a vehicle, such as an automobile, truck, boat, airplane, or the like, having an internal combustion engine with at least one associated electrical power circuit which includes a switch in such power circuit together with a toggle joint operative to open and close such circuit and a pendulum-like weight adapted to move upon vehicle impact to actuate said toggle joint to open the switch, thus to avoid electrical ignition of the gaseous fuel subsequent to a gross impact of the vehicle. The same impact can be arranged to actuate the toggle joint to either open to close other circuits.
Abstract: An auxiliary landing gear for an aircraft including a pair of auxiliary wheels mounted from the wings and including an exterior rim composed of segments connected to a hub by expansible members whereby expansion from a collapsed inoperative disposition to an expanded operative disposition to facilitate landing on rough terrain is achieved.
Abstract: An electromagnetic motor including a rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets on its periphery and a stator closely encompassing the rotor and having a plurality of intervening permanent magnets and electromagnets positioned for interaction with the rotor magnets, the electromagnets being cyclically energized to exert forces on the rotor to effect advance thereof in a predetermined direction.

Abstract: Acoustic imaging apparatus wherein a beam of high frequency acoustic energy is directed to the object to be imaged to create variations in the transmitted acoustic energy which variations are then detected by a plurality of small particles suspended in the beam path for motion in response to radiation pressure produced by the incident acoustic energy, thus providing a visible image with high contrast sensitivity and excellent image resolution.

Abstract: A rotary internal combustion engine including a single shaft supporting two rotors recessed to form working chambers in adjacent sections of a housing with a cylindrical interior, one rotor performing the intake and compression functions and the other, the combustion and exhaust functions.
Abstract: Apparatus for compacting sheet or other burnable material into log-like form including means for severing the sheet into small chips, applying glue to the chips and then compactng the chips in a chamber dimensioned to form a log-shaped compacted unit.
Abstract: A collapsible watercraft which can be readily transported along a highway when in its collapsed disposition but, upon arrival at a lake or other body of water, can be readily erected into an extended operative disposition capable of reception of a small trailer, camper or other living unit thus to provide a portable houseboat.
Abstract: Signal control apparatus which includes a control element in the form of a short section of fiber optic material which can be displaced by depression of a flexible plate or push button into alignment with adjoining sections of fiber optic material.
