Patent number: 8303798Abstract: The invention is a unit that produces Hydrogen Gas (Browns Gas (HHO)) that can be used as an assist to diesel and gas engines. The gas is produced from distilled water, using our stainless steel plate design. The patent should apply to the internal plate placement and design. The internal design of the unit allows it to produce significantly more hydrogen, drawing significantly less current or electricity from its power source. The internal design is in the placement of positive, negative and neutral plates to produce the gas.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2009Date of Patent: November 6, 2012Inventors: James D. Dees, Ken Colclesser, April R. Saldivar, legal representative

Patent number: 8286356Abstract: A guard for a folding knife which guard protects the fingers of the user when the blade is open. The guards may be lifted by the movement of the blade by a link, spring, lifting pin, gears, underside of the blade or hooked by thumb stud or back of blade or by a flipping motion due to the contour of the handles. The guards may be of various shapes and may be recessed in an out-of-the-way position when the blade is closed. The guards may extend at opposite sides of the blade and opposite sides of the handle. The guards are adaptable to a wide variety of folding knife styles.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2010Date of Patent: October 16, 2012Inventors: Mark Mollick, Paul Mollick

Patent number: 8267317Abstract: A fuel management system for use by operators of temporary and/or permanent inventories of vehicles such as vehicle dealerships. Fuel vouchers are issued by authorized issuing personnel to authorized recipients if a validation procedure is passed using a database incorporating employee and vehicle inventory information. At the time of delivery, the fueling station will verify the vehicle and individual presenting the voucher. If verification occurs, the authorized quantity of fuel is dispensed. The voucher and sales receipt are returned to the dealership for future auditing and report generation. The system stores information to enable reports to be generated concerning fuel voucher issuance, actual fuel usage and to detect fraud or misuse, allowing more effective fuel expense management. In the event a report generates a fraud alert, appropriate management personnel are immediately notified by email, text messaging or other means.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2008Date of Patent: September 18, 2012Inventor: Paul Gulli

Patent number: 8214287Abstract: An Internet-based system to market financial and banking services to both participating and registered individuals and business customers. A portion of the transaction fees that are associated with various products and services provided by financial institutions such as checking and savings accounts, loans, trust services and escrow services are converted into charitable contributions which are processed by the system clearing house and then are forwarded to one or more charitable organizations designated by the participating individual or business. “Finders” fees for savings accounts and certificates of deposit will also be converted into charitable contributions.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2008Date of Patent: July 3, 2012Inventor: Ernest Garfield

Patent number: 8161828Abstract: A load cell structure for receiving strain gages to monitor applied torsional forces wherein the opposing force-receiving ends have a plurality of sensing beams spaced about an axis of rotation. Limit posts located between the ends each have a discontinuity therein that includes a U-shaped gap to limit relative rotation about the axis and thereby providing overload protection.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2009Date of Patent: April 24, 2012Assignee: Interface, Inc.Inventors: Lavar Clegg, Lawrence J. Burrow

Patent number: 7887865Abstract: The present example provides an automated or mechanized, way of making a pepper boat from a de-stemmed pepper. In making the pepper boat, de-stemmed peppers may be split by a splitting assembly. As the pepper is split, or subsequently, a whisk assembly tends to clean a portion of the veins and seeds from the split pepper pod to form two substantially equal halves of a pepper boat, suitable for further food processing.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2008Date of Patent: February 15, 2011Assignee: Knorr Technologies, L.L.C.Inventors: Robert J. Knorr, John Victor

Patent number: 7878647Abstract: A frame for eyeglasses, an associated temple, and a method of making the same are provided. The temple includes a receiver, a pliable support member, and a flexible ear piece. The receiver extends from a proximal end of the temple to a second end. The proximal end is configured to rotatably connect to a support section of an eyeglasses frame. The receiver defines a cavity that extends from second end toward the proximal end. The support member has a proximal portion and a distal portion. The proximal portion of the support member is within the cavity. The distal portion of the support member extends out and away from the second end of the receiver. The ear piece extends around the support member and the second end of the receiver. The flexible ear piece and the pliable support member form an integrated ear piece that is shapeable by a wearer.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2009Date of Patent: February 1, 2011Assignee: Live Eyewear, Inc.Inventor: Kieran Hardy

Patent number: 7810941Abstract: The present example provides a flexible and compact system for diffusing light in multiple levels when taking photographs. An adapter capable of coupling many types of flashes is fitted to a first diffusion device. The diffusion device may be fitted inside a light box fitted with a diffusion lens so that additional light dispersion is provided. The light box may be substituted with a black box that tends to direct diffused light for further control over exposure. Various filters may also be used in the system allowing for further flexibility in setting exposure. And finally a system of reflectors and shields allow further control of lighting effects.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2007Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Inventor: Michael J Capozzi

Patent number: 6794954Abstract: A microstrip coupler is provided which includes an controlled capacitance bridge for improved directivity as compared to prior art controlled capacitance bridges. The novel controlled capacitance bridge provides the functionality of prior art wire or ribbon controlled capacitance bridges and also provides the necessary capacitance to compensate for the different phase velocities of odd and even modes in the transmission lines. Both the dimensions of the controlled capacitance bridge and the dimensions of an input microstrip conductor may be adjusted to provide the appropriate level of capacitance. In some embodiments, the controlled capacitance bridge connects segments of an input microstrip conductor. In other embodiments, the controlled capacitance bridge connects microstrip conductors which are configured to couple an input signal from an input microstrip conductor.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2002Date of Patent: September 21, 2004Assignee: Power Wave Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Mark Gurvich, Alex Rabinovich, Jianquing He
