Abstract: A rotisserie cooking appliance includes a base and attached wall in the form of a vertically bisected cylinder. The base contains a centrally-located spindle for the attachment thereon of a drip pan and a spit and basket assembly. The spit and basket assembly includes a circular wire basket for containing the food item to be cooked, with a spit attached to the center thereof, the spit having an integral handle at the top to facilitate the insertion and removal of the spit and basket assembly from the rotisserie. A electric heating element is provided which is located to the rear of the rotisserie, which emits more thermal radiation near the bottom of the cooking chamber than at the top thereof. A removable aluminum reflective element is configured behind the heating element to further direct thermal radiation towards the spit and basket assembly. A single door configured as a vertically bisected cylinder made of a transparent heat resistant plastic material is provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides a self-contained breathing apparatus ("SCBA") having a personal alert safety system ("PASS") fully integrated therewith. The PASS is structurally integrated with the SCBA such that it is protected from damage by both the air cylinder and the frame. The integrated PASS device is not only automatically activated when the SCBA is being used but can still be activated manually if the SCBA is not in service. Additionally, the integrated PASS device utilizes a unique electrical/mechanical connection assembly between its various parts which greatly increases its ruggedness and durability.

Abstract: A gas-fired barbecue grill, comprising: a grill body integrally formed with at least one side element selected from the group comprising a side table and a base member of a side burner. In another embodiment, the grill comprises a grill body and first and second side elements selected from the group comprising a side table and a base member of a side burner, wherein a first piece of the grill comprises a first portion of the grill body integrally formed with the first side element, and a second piece of the grill comprises a second portion of the grill body integrally formed with the second side element, and further wherein the first and second pieces of the grill are secured together. In yet another embodiment, the grill comprises a grill body and first and second side elements selected from the group comprising a side table and a base member of a side burner, wherein the side elements are attached directly to the grill body.

Abstract: A steam valve seal for a steam iron comprising: a hollow cylindrical base disposed within an opening defined by a steam chest cover plate of the iron, the base receiving a steam valve of the iron; an annular middle portion disposed between the base and an outer annular wall having a downwardly extending annular shoulder; the annular shoulder disposed in an annular channel defined by the steam chest cover plate; and an annular groove defined by and disposed between the annular middle portion and the outer annular wall, the annular groove receiving an annular clip disposed within the iron which holds the seal against the steam chest cover plate. Shrinkage of the steam valve seal causes the cylindrical base to tighten against the steam valve and causes the annular middle portion and annular shoulder to tighten against the steam chest cover plate.

Abstract: A humidifier comprising a bucket housing, a fan for producing a flow of air between an inlet port and an outlet port defined by the humidifier, a motor having a shaft disposed within the humidifier, and an impeller assembly coupled to the shaft of the motor, the impeller assembly comprising a hollow stem extending into the bucket housing and having longitudinal ribs disposed within the stem, and a disk disposed on an upper end of the stem, the disk defining an inner annular shoulder, an outer annular shoulder, a circumferential edge and a plurality of circumferentially spaced apertures disposed between the inner and outer annular shoulders.

Abstract: A self-contained breathing apparatus having two or more air storage cylinders, each of the cylinders in gas-flow communication with a flexible manifold which is in gas-flow communication with a facepiece. Preferably, the flexible manifold includes a manifold unit connected to a flexible conduit for each of the cylinders such that the manifold unit is located at least partially within an envelope defined by the cylinders. Preferably the other main high pressure operating components are also connected to the manifold unit, including the regulator, pressure gauge, cylinder valve and wheel, pressure relief rupture disk, and low pressure alarm such that they are at least partially, more preferably substantially, and most preferably totally disposed within an envelope defined by the exterior surfaces of at least two of the plurality of cylinders.

Abstract: This invention relates to an exterior curtain wall system assembled from multiple framed panels. The design utilizes externally framed panel design with concealed water drainage mechanism within pressure equalized wall cavities to eliminate the dependency of the sealing integrity of the shop and/or field applied sealant lines for watertight performance. The design also eliminates the accumulative thermal movement of the wall surface and facilitates the easiness of replacing an individual facing panel.
