Abstract: A removable stirrup cover and removable leather cover for providing substantial protection against abrasions and scuff marks of the flap and panel area of an english saddle. The covers consist of smooth, nonabrasive materials that help preserve the value and aesthetics of the english saddle. The stirrup cover is employed during storage of the saddle by placing the stirrup cover over the stirrup providing protection to the saddle. The leather cover is alternatively employed during use of the english saddle by covering the saddle leathers with the leather covers, preventing saddle abrasions created by the leathers rubbing against the panel area.

Abstract: The improved longitudinal support structure is used in combination with a leg brace that provides support to a wearer's leg. The improved longitudinal support structure for longitudinally supporting the leg brace provides a pivot post attached to the outer lower portion of the leg brace. A support member extends from the outer lower portion of the leg brace. The support member has apertures through it to provide longitudinal adjustment and is rotatably connected to the pivot post through one of the apertures so that an end can rotate about the pivot post. A stop post limits the rotation of the support member to a predetermined range. A rigid cross member attached to the end of the support member positioned adjacent the wearer's ankle rests atop the wearer's foot and is shaped to accept the wearer's ankle. Means for securing the rigid cross member about the wearer's ankle is provided.

Abstract: A printed greeting card is placed within a two-sided frame-like casing which is suspended in a vertical plane such that both sides of the greeting card can be viewed. The casing extends from a combination elongate connector strand and clip. The clip can be releasably attached to any element in a floral arrangement, to a single floral stem, as well as to other gifts such as stuffed animals or gift bags. The greeting card may be a flat card with printing on one or both sides, or may alternatively be folded in half in the fashion of traditional hand-held greeting cards. In all cases, the greeting card is placed within the frame-like casing by insertion through a slot in the side of the casing so that both exterior surfaces are easily viewable.

Abstract: The cooking apparatus comprises a collection plate and a cooking plate. The collection plate overlie the heat source of a barbecue grill having a center surface with semicircular cross section and a curved lip. The curved lip deflects gases being released by the heat source back toward the heat source reducing flames. Extruded apertures are provided through the center. The extrusions extend oppositely from the concavity of the center to direct a portion of the secretions onto the collection plate. A fluid retention channel is provided about the center. The outer surface of the inner retention wall retains secretions on the center of the collection plate. The cooking plate covers the barbecue grill fire chamber and has a plurality of apertures. The terminal end of a curved flange mates with the inner wall of the barbecue grill. A back stop member is connected to the top of the cooking plate.

Abstract: A bladeless turbocharger is disclosed for use with an internal combustion engine. The apparatus includes a drive shaft engaged with a bearing assembly that has a turbine driven by the exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine at one end and a blower driven by the turbine at the other. The turbine and blower have flat disks spaced at a critical distance apart with open circular centers that have spokes mounting them to the drive shaft. The critical distance between the turbine disks promotes the boundary layer drag effect of the exhaust gas against the turbine disks. The blower transfers rotational energy to air entering the critical distance between the blower disks by boundary layer drag effect of the air against the blower disks only. The energy transfer increases the mass per unit volume of the air that exits the blower through a blower outlet.

Abstract: A weighing transducer is secured onto a fixed base. The fixed base is positioned in order to allow the weighing transducer to rest securely over a conveyor belt. An electrically actuated gripper is connected to the weighing transducer allowing the weighing transducer to accurately weigh any item freely suspended from the electrically actuated gripper. The conveyor belt works synchronously with the holding device in order to obtain an accurate weight reading by taking a no load weight reading prior to the weighing of each item to be measured. The conveyor belt delivers an item to be weighed to the electrically actuated gripper which in turn captures the item. When the item is delivered to the electrically actuated gripper, the conveyor belt stops. The item is captured by the electrically actuated gripper and the conveyor belt is lowered to a height sufficient to enable the item to be suspended freely on the electrically actuated gripper.

Abstract: A process that arranges information warehoused at individual accounting and tax preparation firms at a central location for the purpose of marketing information. Data contained at these firms have qualitative and quantitative characteristics that are different from data archived at the Internal Revenue Service or other tax authorities. This fact makes the data valuable as data in two ways. First the data can be exchanged to provide new revenue streams. Secondly, these data, if grouped into data warehouses of other firms, has value as pure data, not just customer lists. These data may be sold or rented creating additional revenue streams for their originators. The purchasers of this bulk data are interested in using this data in the field of data mining. Data mining is a technique of analyzing vast amounts of information to uncover relationships to predict events and has wide application in many areas of the economy.

Abstract: A temporary license device configured for removable mounting to an interior surface of a vehicle window includes an elongated generally rectangular plate formed of transparent plastic material. The plate is flexible to conform to a curvature of the vehicle window and has a memory characteristic enabling the plate to return to its original shape after being mounted. Each side of the plate has a protective sheet removably attached thereto to prevent damage to the plate prior to mounting. The plate and protective sheets have a plurality of apertures extending therethrough. A plurality of suction cups are removably connected to the plate to mount the plate to the vehicle window.

Abstract: A temperature regulating apparatus comprising, an airflow rate controller to increase or decrease the flow of air supplied from a central heating ventilation and air conditioning system exiting a duct into a selected area, a portable programmable thermostat and radio frequency transmitter, the transmitter transmitting a radio frequency command signal in response to the thermostat detecting a difference between the ambient temperature and the programmed temperature setting, a radio frequency receiver which supplies power to the airflow rate controller upon receiving the radio frequency command signal from the radio frequency transmitter, a channel selector switch assembly providing a number of unique radio frequency transmission codes that can be transmitted and received by the radio frequency transmitter and radio frequency receiver, and at least two thermostatic switch for deactivating the airflow rate controller when the duct air temperature is within a predetermined upper and lower temperature range.
