  • Patent number: 5987835
Abstract: A method of cladding a building wall surface with individual prefabricated panels and trim mouldings with any fasteners and joints between the panels and trim being covered on site with a coating of stucco to produce a flush finished stucco surface. Each panel has a uniform transverse cross-sectional profile, and a core of foam material coated with a weatherproof stucco coating on its exterior surface. Tongue and groove joints are disposed along the longitudinal surfaces and a longitudinal recess in the exterior surface adjacent each tongue and groove joint is adapted to receive a layer of joint coating to fill the recess and cover the longitudinal joints flush with the external surface. The wall surface is installed by cutting the elongate cladding panels to the approximate length of the wall and mounting the cladding panels temporarily to the wall substrate, such as plywood for example.

  • Patent number: 4821415
Abstract: In connection with a conversion set for a portable circular saw, which latter comprises a housing, an associated electric drive motor with output shaft and, if necessary, also a gear, and at least one handle, it is proposed to attach to the basic unit remaining after removal of the circular saw blade a chain-saw adapter attachment, to convert the portable circular saw in this manner into an electric chain saw and to secure the chain-saw adapter attachment in place by means of mechanical stops provided on a main bearing plate and coacting with the gear housing of the circular saw and, in the axial direction, by tightening a screw upon the output shaft of the circular saw projecting through the drive pinion for the saw chain.

  • Patent number: 4819660
Abstract: A prosthetic shape sensor comprises a single camera unit and a reflecting surface each mounted on a turntable and arranged opposite each other to define therebetween a space for a stump of a patient. The reflecting surface is shaped to fit between the stump and a leg of the patient. The camera unit includes a light source and the camera unit and the reflecting surface are rotatable together on the turntable through at least 180.degree.. The camera unit can collect a series of silhouette views of the stump upon rotation about the stump.

  • Patent number: 4234085
Abstract: A supply tape for clips comprises a plurality of pleats running transversely of the length of the tape and a plurality of generally U-shaped spring clips, each of which has opposed arms engaged in opposite sides of one of the pleats. An apparatus is provided for applying clips to the storage tape. The apparatus feeds the tape between a pair of meshing toothed wheels adapted to pleat the tape. U-shaped spring clips are fed to a clip application station where they are received on respective pleats with opposed arms engaged on opposite sides of the pleat.

  • Patent number: 4192126
Abstract: A machine is provided for coiling wire about a core filament, particularly for producing heat exchanger coils. The machine comprises a main frame, two coiling elements spaced from each other and mounted in the frame for rotation about substantially the same axis, a hollow mandrel on which the wire is to be coiled, the longitudinal axis of the mandrel substantially coinciding with said axis, and a wire guide on each of the coiling elements spaced from the said axis whereby a loop of wire may be formed with its ends substantially on the said axis and the remainder thereof spaced from the said axis. The machine further comprises means for rotating the two coiling elements in a substantially synchronous fashion so that wire guided about the elements is coiled on to the mandrel, means for preventing the mandrel from rotating relative to the frame, and means for feeding a core filament through the hollow mandrel.
