  • Patent number: 3989557
Abstract: Semi-hard magnetic materials exhibiting an excellent square hysteresis loop are prepared by the following steps. An alloy material consisting essentially, by weight, of 73-93% Co, 1-5%Nb and the balance Fe is subjected to process annealing at not lower than 900.degree. C and cold working at a reduction of area of not less than 75% and then is subjected to any combination treatment involving one or more stress relief annealings at a temperature in the range 500.degree.-700.degree. C for a short period of time such that no intermetallic compound precipitates in said alloy followed by cooling to the ambient temperature, and one or more ageing treatments of said cooled material at a temperature in the range 600.degree.-900.degree. C for a considerably longer time such that an intermetallic compound does precipitate in said alloy.

  • Patent number: 3977641
Abstract: A hanger fitting usually made of metal includes two spaced, substantially parallel and planar rigid portions joined by at least two transverse portions. The planar portions have a first pair of threaded apertures formed generally perpendicular to the planes adapted to be engaged by a first corresponding pair of set screws for engaging a tongue or other member to which it is to be mounted. The transverse portions include a second pair of threaded apertures disposed generally transverse to the first pair and being adapted to be engaged by a second corresponding pair of set screws. Both pairs of set screws engage the tongue to which the fitting is to be mounted thereby to prevent movement of the fitting with respect to said member in two mutually perpendicular directions. The parallel portions also have a lower part adapted to be coupled to a signal assembly, or the like.

  • Patent number: 3974000
Abstract: A semi-hard magnetic alloy is disclosed consisting essentially of 15 to 30% of Ni, 35 to 52% of Fe, 1 to 5% of Nb and the balance cobalt. This alloy possesses a coercive force (Hc) of 10 to 50 Oe, a magnetic flux density (B.sub.100) of 10 to 17.5 KG., a squareness ratio (Br/B.sub.100) of not less than 0.70 and a fullness ratio of not less than approximately 0.70. The alloy material is also characterized by a good plastic workability.

  • Patent number: 3969570
Abstract: A composition for, as well as a method of bonding gold to a ceramic and a bonded gold article which includes a composition of gold and copper oxide for bonding a gold layer to a ceramic substrate. Gold powder and copper oxide particles define a solid composition mixture wherein the copper oxide has a weight percentage in the preferred region between 1.2% and 1.4%. Organic binder is added to a predetermined amount of copper oxide particles and blended. The gold powder is incorporated into the copper oxide and organic binder to form a total composition mixture. The orgaic binder has a weight percentage of the total composition mixture within the preferred range of 50% to 85%. The total composition mixture is blended and applied to a ceramic substrate. The coated ceramic article is fired within the preferred temperature range 1020.degree.C. to 1040.degree.C. Copper oxide crystals are formed which impregnate the ceramic substrate and form a high strength bond between the gold layer and the ceramic substrate.

  • Patent number: 3938714
Abstract: An improved dispensing system for removing liquid or particulate material from within a container to some external environment. The improved dispensing system includes a container and a retractable spout member located within the container when not in use. The container forms an enclosure having a removable member integrally formed on a top wall of the container. The removable member may be displaced with respect to the top wall along a pre-weakened contour outline to form an opening in the enclosure. The spout member may be extracted from within the container through the opening to permit guidance in the pouring of matter from the container. The spout member is generally trough shaped in a substantially conical form and includes an extended tab member formed on a bottom surface thereof to provide predetermined angular relations between the spout member and the container extension direction to aid in removing the spout member through the opening of the container.

  • Patent number: 3938621
Abstract: A vehicle servicing system for permitting operators to service and maintain their vehicles. The system includes a housing having an upper and lower level. A vehicle is positioned on the upper level over a slideably moveable door. The operator then decends to the lower level and inserts monies into a moveable door mechanism. Actuation of the door mechanism slides the moveable door away, thus providing the operator access to the underside of the vehicle for a specific length of time. The operator may service the vehicle during the time access is provided. An automatic timing mechanism actuates the moveable door mechanism to close the door after the alloted time is used. Specific embodiments of the servicing system provide mechanisms for draining oil from the vehicles during service.

  • Patent number: 3935366
Abstract: A composition for, as well as a method of bonding gold to a ceramic substrate and a bonded gold article which includes a composition of gold, copper oxide, and cadmium oxide for bonding a gold layer to a ceramic substrate. Gold powder, copper oxide particles and cadmium oxide particles define a solid composition mixture where the copper oxide has a weight percentage in the preferred region between 0.25 and 3.0% and the cadmium oxide has a weight percentage in the preferred region between 1.0 and 5.0%. Organic binder is added to a predetermined amount of the copper oxide and cadmium particles and then blended. The gold powder is incorporated into the copper oxide, cadmium oxide, and organic binder to form a total composition mixture. The organic binder has a weight percentage of the total composition mixture within the ranges of 10 to 95%. The total composition mixture is blended and applied to a ceramic substrate. The coated ceramic article is fired within the preferred temperature range 950.degree. to 100.
