  • Patent number: 8000943
Abstract: The Space-Time Mapping Analysis (STMA) method and system provides an engineering method and/or system for modeling and/or analyzing and/or designing and/or building and/or operating complex physical processes, components, devices, and phenomena. STMA can be used in a way for modifying and/or improving the design of many different products, components, processes, and devices, for example. Any physical system, whether existing or proposed, which exhibits, for example, unsteady flow phenomena, might be modeled by the STMA. Thus, STMA can be implemented as a part of an engineering system for design improvements and/or modifications and/or evaluations. The STMA system and/or method uses a space-time mapping technique wherein the space and time directions are treated in an equivalent way, such that, rather than solving a three-dimensional unsteady problem by sweeping in the time direction from an initial point in time to a final point in time, the problem is solved as a four-dimensional problem in space-time.

  • Patent number: 7997502
Abstract: The invention discloses a two-dimensional code and its decoding method and the printing publication for applying the two-dimensional code. Positioning dots located at four corners of code symbols in the two-dimensional code are larger than data dots. The code symbols are arranged repeatedly on the basement, including at least two identical code symbols. Adjacent code symbols share same positioning dots on their adjacent border. The decoding method comprises the following steps: reading the two-dimensional code by using a reading device, detecting the margin of each dot, obtaining an image of the closed border, selecting positioning dots; matching the positioning dots in a rectangle mode, grouping the data dots, reconstructing a matrix of data dots, and reducing codes according to an inverse process of codes layout in coding process of the two-dimensional code.

  • Patent number: 7997738
Abstract: A pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) is used to attach a plurality of wedge-shaped glass filter segments on a first side to a hub during the color ring build portion of the color wheel fabrication process. A strong adhesive, such as epoxy, is then used to adhere a second side of the filter segments directly to a turning surface of a motor, completing the color wheel fabrication. The epoxy is cured if necessary. The pressure sensitive adhesive can temporarily align the plurality of color filter segments in an alignment. The adhesive between the filter segments and the turning surface can then permanently bond the color filter segments in the alignment.

  • Patent number: 7995328
Abstract: A capacitor for use in a hybrid vehicle and the like has a structure contrived to achieve reduction in size, increase in capacitance and decrease in resistance. An element has a pair of positive and negative electrodes, each comprising a collector made of a metallic foil having a carbon-containing electrode layer formed thereon, the electrodes rolled up with a separator interposed therebetween to form a pair of electrode terminations at opposite sides of the element. A dimension of one of the electrode terminations is set shorter than that of the other electrode termination. This structure achieves an increase in capacitance and decrease in resistance since it can increase an effective area of electrode surfaces under a restricted condition of keeping the same height of the element as it is placed inside a casing of given dimensions.
