Abstract: An apparatus for automatically preparing a multi-ingredient mixture in batches in a mixing tank and providing a continuous supply of the mixture to a run tank in response to down stream demand. Gravimetric means provide monitoring signals indicative of the actual weight of the contents of each tank. Deviations from target ingredient ratios are automatically registered and compensated for in preparing each batch by logic control means which compare the actual weight of each ingredient added with a precalculated target weight, calculate target weights for the second and subsequently added ingredients on the basis of the actual amounts of ingredients added earlier and automatically activate the mixing tank outlet valve and the ingredient supply valves.

The body of the octagonal container includes a pair of major wall panels, a pair of minor wall panels, and four corner wall panels. Each major and minor wall panel is foldably connected to a corner wall panel on either side. In the preferred embodiment, one of the minor wall panels is formed from two pieces, which are secured in overlapping relation to one another. The closure section includes a pair of rectangular major cover flaps, a pair of rectangular minor cover flaps, and four polygonal corner flaps. Each major cover flap is foldably connected to a major wall panel. Each corner flap is foldably connected to a corner wall panel. Each minor cover flap is foldably connected to a minor wall panel. In the preferred embodiment, one of the minor cover flaps is formed from two pieces, which are fastened in overlapping relation to one another.

Abstract: A nestable paperboard food carton comprising a bottom tray, a semi-domed top cover with upper side panels that substantially overlap the lower side panels of the bottom tray and an upper front panel that extends substantially to the junction of the base panel and the lower front panel of the bottom tray, hinge means, connecting the bottom tray to the top cover, and preferably, a locking feature for securing the carton in its closed position, is provided.

Abstract: A divider is disclosed which may be assembled in several different multicellular configurations. The divider is formed from a one-piece rectangular blank separated into two panels by a central longitudinal slitted-and-scored line. Each panel is further divided into two end segments and four intermediate segments by transverse score lines. The divider is assembled without gluing, and can be used to divide a single carton into five alternate cellular configurations.

Abstract: A food service container is provided comprising a rimmed receptacle and a lockable paperboard lid. The lid consists of a cover panel with a pair of extension tabs formed at opposed edges of the cover panel, and a locking assembly depending from each extension tab. Each locking assembly comprises an outer wall panel foldably connected to the extension tab and depending downwardly therefrom, means in each outer wall panel defining a semi-detachable retaining tongue, a bottom wall panel foldably connected to the outer wall panel and extending inwardly therefrom, an inner wall panel foldably connected to the inner wall panel and secured in underlying relation to each extension tab, and an engagement slot formed at the junction of inner wall panel and the glue flap.
