Abstract: A running tool delivers a string through a wellhead in the same trip as a hanger with a seal and locking assembly. The string is secured downhole and the running tool is manipulated to release a lock to hold the hanger in a sealed position in the wellhead prior to a tensile force being applied. A ratchet assembly permits the string to stretch and the tensile force is then locked in. The running tool is rotated out of the string and the tree is installed on the wellhead for subsequent procedures or production.
Abstract: A non-rotational casing hanger and seal assembly running tool for use in oil and gas drilling operations has a mandrel and a tool body that is carried by the mandrel. The tool body supports a plurality of latching segments for releasably connecting the tool body to a seal assembly. A plurality of latching dogs on the tool body releasably connect the tool body to a casing hanger. Axial movement between the tool body and mandrel operates a pressure responsive shuttle piston positioned on the mandrel to urge the seal assembly into sealing position. A ball valve positioned in the mandrel bore is operable between open and closed positions to allow independent operations to be carried out such as cementing the casing hanger in position through the mandrel bore and operating the shuttle piston to then allow overpull to unlatch the tool from the casing hanger for retrieval.

Abstract: A wellhead hanger system that allows the use of either of two casing hangers depending upon whether the casing string to be suspended becomes stuck during installation and cannot be lowered to its expected depth is disclosed. A full bore test plug for use with the system is disclosed also.
Abstract: A wellhead assembly for use on a well with a blowout preventer stack having a bore therethrough that utilizes an intervention spool sealingly secured between a horizontal tree and the blowout preventer stack to allow the use of a removable valve package positioned in the intervention spool with valve actuators mounted on the exterior of the intervention spool is disclosed.

Abstract: A fuel blend for use in an internal combustion engine is provided. The fuel blend comprises a hydrocarbon-containing fuel component and an oxygen-containing component capable of providing a portion of the oxygen needed for combustion of the fuel component under conditions prevailing during the combustion cycle of the internal combustion engine. The major oxygen-providing agent of the oxygen-containing component is one or more compounds having the general formula (I) R2—O—(CO)—R1, wherein R1 is selected from hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl and lower alkynyl groups, R2 is selected from lower alkyl, lower alkenyl and lower alkynyl groups, or a group having the general formula (II) R3—(CO)—O—R4—wherein R3 is selected from lower alkyl, lower alkenyl and lower alkynyl groups, and R4 is selected from lower alkyl. The blend may additionally comprise one or more of a stabilizer, a biocide and a substituted alcohol.

Abstract: A connector for securing tubular members or conduits in sealed end to end relationship is disclosed. A split ring biased to an unlocked position is carried on the pin connection member in a recess. After the connection is made, the split ring is expanded through a window in the box connection member and locked in place. Alternative embodiments showing a split ring biased to a locked position and a split ring with an articulated joint are shown. A fourth embodiment that allows preloading of the split ring is shown also.

Abstract: The invention provides a process for the preparation of a branched polymer which comprises contacting a monovinyl aromatic monomer having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule with an organolithium initiator, thereafter adding at least one conjugated diene monomer having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms per molecule and thereafter adding a tris-(nonylated phenyl)phosphite as coupling agent in an amount from 0.15 to 1.1 mol per mol of the organolithium initiator.
