Abstract: A polyurethane biasing mechanism, comprising a first surface contact area with a first mass having a durometer that provides a first resistance and a first rate of resistance responsive to application of forces. The biasing mechanism having a second surface contact area with a second mass having the same durometer that provides a second resistance and a second rate of resistance responsive to the forces. The first resistance and the first rate of resistance are different from the second resistance and second rate of resistance, a combination of which provides a rate of resistance that commensurately varies and is correspondingly responsive in relation to varying forces.
Abstract: A semiconductor circuit for driving a load, comprising a transformerless Alternative Current (AC) to Direct Current (DC) converter integrated circuit that includes a high voltage circuit fabricated on a substrate for converting a high voltage AC input signal to a first high voltage DC output signal. Further included is a second circuit fabricated on the same substrate for regulating a drive signal for driving a load using power from the first high voltage output signal, with the high voltage circuit and the second circuit fabricated on the substrate to form a single integrated circuit (IC) chip.
Abstract: An amplifier circuit comprising an input unit for maintaining a linearly amplified replica of the main input signal receives the main input signal and outputs a first output signal, which is the linearly amplified replica of the main input signal. The amplifier circuit further comprising a modulator controller that outputs a mutually exclusive first and second modulated signals from a respective first and second portion of the linearly amplified replica of the main input signal only when the input unit receives the main input signal. The first and the second modulator signals drive a voltage converter, with the voltage converter driving a respective first portion of a load and a second portion of the load. The amplifier circuit further includes a feedback unit for correction of a main output signal in relation to the main input signal.
Abstract: New and improved compositions of doped and co-doped bismuth fluorophosphate glasses for lasers is disclosed that have a high refractive index (nD) of approximately 1.6 and higher, high transmission in the near infrared part of the spectrum, and a wide glass forming domain. The disclosed glass systems Al(PO3)3—Ba(PO3)2—Bi(PO3)3—BaF2+RFx+dopands use dopants from the group of oxides and or fluorides of rare earth elements Nd, Er, Yb, Tm, Tb, Ho, Sm, Eu and Pr as well as MnO and mixtures thereof over 100 percent (wt %) of the glass-base composition. These glasses have high chemical durability, radiation resistance, efficiency of laser use in the infrared and blue spectrum, and improved duration of luminescence.

Abstract: This invention involves the application of dense, metallurgically bonded deposits of tungsten and tungsten rhenium coatings onto preformed based x-ray anodes to be used as focal tracks. The coatings are applied by low pressure DC plasma spraying. The invention also includes heat treatments that further densify the as-applied coatings improving their suitability for use as focal tracks.
Abstract: An aquatic extraction and filtration device, comprising a portable frame, a screen enclosing the portable frame for blocking solids, and piping coupled within the enclosed portable frame for extracting water. The aquatic extraction and filtration device filtering and moving of water at a first flow rate by a pump, and moving the filtered water through a set of openings at a second flow rate, greater than the first flow rate by the pump. Finally, extracting water through the set of openings at a substantially equal flow rate to that of a third flow rate of water that moves through the pump.
Abstract: The present invention uses an electromagnetic device for amplifying an input signal without the use of amplifiers, power supplies, and inverter/converter circuits. The present invention routes an input signal through an electromagnetic device for amplification of the input signal for later use by various loads.
Abstract: The present invention provides a device for detection, collection, containment, neutralization, and elimination of aerosolized contaminants, comprising a lid that fully covers an edge of a container for containment of exiting aerosolized contaminants, with the lid having housing for accommodating an article. The housing comprising a top vent aligned along atop of a bottom vent, with the top vent optionally smaller in size than the bottom vent, and with the housing, the top vent, and the bottom vent located normal to a natural vertical upward move of the aerosolized contaminants. The aerosolized contaminants are detected, collected, contained, neutralized, and eliminated and sanitized by the article within the housing, allowing only uncontaminated air out of the top vent through a natural upward movement of the aerosolized contaminants via the force of the flush.
Abstract: There is disclosed a liquid crystal display apparatus including a main body and a swivel mechanism, where the main body is capable of smoothly swiveling. A countersunk hole is formed in a bottom plate member as follows: When a through-hole for inserting a screw is formed in a metal sheet to be a bottom plate member, there is also concurrently formed an accommodating hole for accommodating flow of the material forming the metal sheet upon plastic forming or pressing which is performed subsequently for forming a countersink, and then the countersink is formed at an open end of the through-hole by pressing. It is preferable that a plurality of the accommodating holes are formed around the through-hole.
Abstract: To improve the convenience of using a memory module, there are provided indicator elements corresponding to types of access to semiconductor memory. The indicator elements are configured to correspond to the access type and indicate the frequency of this type of access to the semiconductor memory. The indicator elements are also configured to indicate the frequency of access to the semiconductor memory and hold an indication corresponding to the maximum frequency of the access. Furthermore, the indicator elements are configured to indicate the frequency of access to the semiconductor memory when a connection terminal 22 is connected to a motherboard connector 91 and a memory module connection terminal 82 is connected to a connector 23.
Abstract: An LED terminal monitoring circuit detects an LED at the lowest potential among a plurality of parallel-connected LEDs. An analog signal selecting circuit gives a signal indicating the voltage of the detected LED to a boosting circuit. The boosting circuit performs a boosting operation on the basis of the condition of the detected LED at the lowest voltage and, consequently, a voltage sufficient for driving the LEDs in a current-control mode can be applied to all the LEDs. Signal lines not connected to LEDs are excluded from objects of a LED-switching control operation.
