  • Patent number: 7121032
Abstract: A recoil pad for a shoulder firearm includes at least one piston member that is caused to move axially from an initial axial position to a second axial position upon application of the recoil force from the firearm. The axial movement of the piston member causes fluid movement within a column relative to a variable or fixed orifice area wherein the fluid movement causes resistance that absorbs the energy. A mechanical and/or hydraulic and/or elastomeric feature returns the piston to the initial axial position upon cessation of the applied recoiling force.

  • Patent number: 7112451
Abstract: A biosensor is provided with an area in which a reagent having bleaching action is carried in a state where it can be dissolved, at least in a part of a sample application area to which an inspection target solution is applied or the downstream of the sample application area in the direction of the inspection target solution permeating, in a development layer. In the so-constituted biosensor, a colored component in the inspection target solution can be faded by the bleaching reagent, so that the color in parts other than a reactive area is reduced in consequence, whereby a visual judgment is possible and a more accurate measurement result in which a reading error by a measuring device is extremely suppressed can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 7096992
Abstract: A pole for a hand pallet truck includes a pole bar linked to a support for a steerable wheel at its lower end and connected to a loop-shaped handle at a remaining end. The handle is centrally grappable at its near end and includes an operating device therein attached to a holding extension projecting into the handle. The holding extension is connectable to a lifting apparatus of the hand pallet truck via a traction and/or pushing element with operating levers being disposed on either side thereof The operating levers are pivotally mounted on the holding extension in a plane defined by the handle, each operating lever acting on a common displacement element connected to the traction or pushing element wherein pulling the operation levers from a neutral position away from the pole bar causes a lowering operating and pushing the operating lever's out of the neutral position towards the pole bar allows a lifting operation of the lifting apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5828915
Abstract: A method of prewinding film from a film cartridge having a rotatable spool for allowing a contained film to be thrust from the confines of the cartridge after a light blocking door is opened to permit a filmstrip to be thrust from the cartridge, into a film roll chamber using a roller assembly disposed between the cartridge and a film roll carrier to draw film from the cartridge after the leader portion has been thrust from the cartridge. According to the invention, the film roll carrier is detachable to allow the film cartridge and film roll carrier to be loaded into a camera body section after film has been prewound from the cartridge. Alternately, the prewinding can be done using a single roller assembly which interfaces with the film rails of a camera body to permit prewinding between a cartridge and the film roll chamber of the camera body.

  • Patent number: RE35936
Abstract: A film cassette includes a cassette body, a film spool onto which can be wound a strip of film drive disk coupled directly to the film spool, and an indicator flex disk that includes a film status indicator tab whose position relative to a window of the film cassette indicates the film exposure status. The position of the film status indicator tab is changed when the flex disk is moved into engagement with the drive disk and the film spool is rotated upon film movement. The film status indicator tab otherwise does not engage the drive disk and therefore does not change position. The cassette is particularly suited for operation with a photographic camera that includes a camera body, a loading chamber in the camera body that receives the film cassette, and a loading chamber cover having at least one movable indicator release pin that moves the flex disk into and out of engagement with the drive disk and thereby changes the position of the film status indicator tab.
