  • Patent number: 4835107
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the quantitative recover of actinide values from biological and environmental sample by passing appropriately prepared samples in a mineral acid solution through a separation column of a dialkyl(phenyl)-N,N-dialylcarbamoylmethylphosphine oxide dissolved in tri-n-butyl phosphate on an inert substrate which selectively extracts the actinide values. The actinide values can be eluted either as a group or individually and their presence quantitatively detected by alpha counting.

  • Patent number: 4827592
Abstract: An automatic covered wire cutting and stripping method and an apparatus used for the method. The method comprises the steps of transferring a covered wire by a transfer mechanism toward a cutting mechanism disposed opposite to the transfer mechanism so as to protrude the covered wire from the cutting mechanism by a specified length in the direction away from the transfer mechanism, cutting a cover of the covered wire by the cutting mechanism to prepare the specified length of a cover part to be stripped, transferring the covered wire toward the transfer mechanism, gripping the cover part to be stripped off the covered wire by a grip mechanism, and transferring the covered wire toward the transfer mechanism such that the cover part to be stripped off the covered wire is gripped by the grip mechanism thereby stripping the specified length of the cover from the covered wire.

  • Patent number: 4823538
Abstract: A bagging machine comprising a bag supply device, a bag-opening device, a bag-sealing device mounted on one side of the bag-opening device, and a bag-moving device. The bag supply device includes a mounting member and a first bag-attracting portion mounted to the mounting member that reciprocates between a bag supply position and a bag opening position. The bag-opening device has a second bag-attracting portion which faces the first bag-attracting portion when the mounting member of the bag supply device is in the bag opening position. The second bag-opening portion can move toward and away from the first bag-attracting portion. The bag-moving device has a pair of openable holding members. The holding members reciprocate between the bag-opening device and the bag-sealing device, and close the opening of a bag by holding the opening between themselves.

  • Patent number: 4819332
Abstract: An oil supply structure of a chain saw comprises a pair of rail portions which are provided on the outer circumference of the main body of a guide plate, a guide groove which is formed between the two rail portions, a pair of oil supply holes which penetrate the two rail portions from outside and which open toward the guide groove, a through hole which penetrates the main body of the guide plate without any connection with the guide groove, and a pair of connection channels which connect outer end openings of each oil supply hole and two outer end openings of the through hole. Lubricating oil is supplied from an outlet port of the main body of the chain saw to both sides of a saw chain and so forth through the through hole, connection channel and oil supply hole.

  • Patent number: 4802512
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic covered wire cutting and decorticating apparatus and process for moving forward the covered wire by a specified length to a side unopposed to a sending mechanism of a cutting mechanism provided at a position opposite the sending mechanism. A pair of rollers of the sending mechanism moves the covered wire and a cover of the covered wire is cut by the cutting mechanism. The apparatus further processes the wire by pulling the covered wire to the sending mechanism and decorticating the cover of covered wire by rotating both the rollers of the sending mechanism and a process for twisting an exposed core wire by relatively moving both the rollers of the sending mechanism in the direction of axial center in synchronization with the process for decorticating the cover of the covered wire.

  • Patent number: 4615257
Abstract: An axial-piston pump includes a rotatable cylinder barrel having pistons extending from cylinder bores formed at one end thereof. A swashplate is positioned adjacent the cylinder barrel and includes an inclined surface for engaging and reciprocating the pistons upon rotation of the cylinder barrel relative thereto. The cylinder barrel is rotatably supported by a bearing spaced from the swashplate in a direction toward the cylinder barrel. The location and orientation of the bearing results in the development of bearing forces which operate on the same equivalent force point as the contact forces developed between the pistons and swashplate. Since the forces thus developed all operate on the same equivalent force point, pitching or cocking moments on the cylinder barrel are substantially eliminated.
