Patent number: 4066899Abstract: An apparatus for making radiographic pictures of an object submerged in a liquid comprising a substantially watertight housing having a reduced central section provided with a liquid displacing seal. The object to be irradiated is receivable in the reduced central section adjacent the liquid displacing seal. An irradiating camera is rigidly mounted in the housing. A sensitized film is additionally placed in the housing, oriented to receive radiation from the radiation camera after it irradiates the submerged object. In the preferred embodiment the reduced central section is a semicircular notch permitting irradiation of a partial section of the submerged object (see FIG. 1). An alternative embodiment has a hinged circular reduced central section permitting irradiation of an entire cross section of the submerged object to be irradiated. The apparatus can be transported underwater, mounted and actuated by a single operator.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1976Date of Patent: January 3, 1978Inventors: Randle Gaspar, Claud A. Burk

Patent number: 4061242Abstract: A specialized, reusable container for paint including an outer, bottom drip-catching body and an inner, main body for holding a supply of paint and a handle extending from the bottom section to the main, paint-containing section at and attached to the rears thereof. Included within the main, paint-containing section is a lateral, rotatable wire used to wipe the paint brush after the brush is dipped into the paint contained in the main body. Also included at the front of the bottom section is a projecting lip which defines a paint brush support in conjunction with the front wall of the inner, main body. The two sections of the container are preferably rectangular in horizontal configuration, with the inner, paint-containing section offset to the rear of the bottom, drip-catching section but still spaced therefrom to form a small gap.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 1976Date of Patent: December 6, 1977Inventor: Joseph J. Patent number: 4048791Abstract: A lawn mower of the sickle-bar type having an elongated straight double-edged blade mounted at either end by a planetary mount producing in the horizontal plane a generally laterally reciprocating motion combined with an orbital motion creating cutting forces in both directions with the double-edged blade. The basic support wheels, handle and blade mounting and driving system are so mounted to allow one of the cutting sides or edges of the blade to be used for usual lawn mowing operation, which side is located well within and under and centrally to the basic mower structure, and the other, opposite cutting side to be used for trimming close to walls, trees, etc., which side is located at and moves past the end of the basic mower structure. The handle is reversible from one side to the other to allow the operator to move to and push from the appropriate side, depending on whether mowing or trimming operation is desired.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1976Date of Patent: September 20, 1977Inventor: J. Patent number: 4037739Abstract: A heavy duty moving system including a base sled having two sets of integral, drop-leaf, heavy duty caster wheels (FIG. 1) and a lever arm assembly (FIG. 6) for moving heavy equipment, for example, the "XEROX" copy machines of the 2400 series. The sled is slid under the machine (FIG. 8) and then raised at one end by the lever arm assembly (FIG. 9), after which one set of integral, drop-leaf caster wheels are lowered into position and locked. The opposite end of the sled is jacked up and the second set of integral, drop-leaf caster wheels are lowered and locked into position after which the lever arm assembly is removed. The machine then rests on the sled and its caster wheels and is ready for transportation. The machine is taken off the moving system in the opposite manner.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 1975Date of Patent: July 26, 1977Assignee: Lee Inventions, Inc.Inventor: William S. Lee
