  • Patent number: 8209792
Abstract: A shut-off valve for connecting between a water supply valve and a tank inlet port of a toilet tank includes a housing having an inlet port, an outlet port, a valve mechanism, a trip mechanism, and a trip circuit electrically connected with the trip mechanism. The valve mechanism includes a valve housing rotationally confining a first ceramic disk and a ceramic second disk, each disk having at least one aperture therethrough that, when mutually aligned, allow for fluid communication between the inlet and outlet ports. The trip mechanism includes a rotational spring that urges rotation of an axial shaft fixed coaxially with the second disk. A trip latch is adapted to prevent rotation of the axial shaft and second disk except when withdrawn from the axial shaft by a solenoid electrically connected to the trip circuit that is electrically connected with a toilet tank overflow sensor, a toilet bowl overflow sensor, or the like.

  • Patent number: 8210113
Abstract: A sewing system is disclosed for facilitating the sewing together with a sewing machine ends of at least two webs that are held by a spooling machine. A substantially horizontal carriage rail is supported by a support mounting means in fixed relationship with the spooling machine and itself slidably supports a sewing carriage adapted to hold the sewing machine. A trimming carriage is also slidably supported on the carriage rail and supports a conventional trimming machine that trims the ends of each web ahead of the sewing machine. The trimming carriage is selectively and mechanically fixed with the sewing carriage with a mechanical fastener, so that as the sewing carriage is moved along the carriage rail, the trimming carriage is also moved along thereby. A substantially horizontal support platform is fixed with the carriage rail and adapted to hold each web fixed with respect thereto with a plurality of vertically-movable pins that traverse each web in a raised position.

  • Patent number: 8210971
Abstract: A broadhead for an archery arrow is disclosed. The broadhead includes a substantially cylindrical body having a forward cutting end, a rearward attachment end, and a side wall. The forward cutting end terminates in a point and further includes a plurality of pointed faces, each of which has a concave scoop formed therein. A cutting edge is formed between each pointed face. The side wall of the body, in one embodiment, includes a plurality of longitudinal slots. The broadhead in such an embodiment further includes a plurality of blades each having a forward cutting edge and preferably a rearward cutting edge. Each edge meets at a distal point. Each blade further includes a slot engaging edge opposite the distal point, and each blade may be pivotally fixed in one slot.
