  • Patent number: 4903575
Abstract: An M-60 machinegun ammunition container has a mounting strap spaced from a container wall which removably mounts on the bandolier supporter of the gun. Stabilizing bosses extend inwardly from the mounting strap to prevent the container from moving. Biasing means, which may be pleats in the molded side or end walls of the container, urge the side walls together to preclude ammunition from rattling in the container.

  • Patent number: 4891036
Abstract: A derailleur is provided with locking devices in the form of bands or ratchets around the upper and lower pivoting members of the derailleur to hold the derailleur securely in place during use and thus preventing the bicycle chain from disengaging from the chain sprocket or the chain wheels. The locking devices are activated/deactivted by a hand lever mounted on the handle bar of the bicycle. A cable runs from the hand lever through a spring arrangement to other cables that are connected to the locking devices.

  • Patent number: 4881341
Abstract: A fishing lure is provided with two spinners formed of ribbon or band-like members in the shape of either half loop or full loop elements. The spinners are pitched at an angle to the shaft of the lure so that the two spinners rotate about the axis of the shaft in opposite directions to mitigate twist or torque in the fishing line. The surface areas of the two spinners are approximately equal.

  • Patent number: 4881088
Abstract: In a computer controlled automatic plotting device, an ink level detector is provided in a plotter pen cartridge. An ink-following object is provided in the plotter pin cartridge and is supported by the writing fluid. The ink-following object carries a magnet. As the ink-following object traverses down the inside of the plotter pen cartridge, the position of the magnet triggers a sensor at a predetermined level. The sensor then effects a visual or audible signal to alert an operator that the cartridge is running out of writing fluid. Alternatively, the sensor activates a control system to shut down the plotting device to permit replacement of the plotter pen cartridge with one having a new ink supply.

  • Patent number: 4875651
Abstract: A transducer mounting device maintains a transducer at a constant level in relationship to the patient lying on an operating table regardless of any raising, lowering, tilting or rotating of the operating table that may occur during an operation. The transducer mounting device is securely fastened to the frame of the operating table and comprises a bar that includes a horizontal arm portion extending along the side of the table and a vertical arm portion extending upward from the end of the horizontal arm portion to provide a mounting surface for the transducer at the level of the patient's heart. The horizontal arm portion is laterally offset from the frame of the operating table to allow clearance space during the initial orientation of the horizontal and vertical arm portions.

  • Patent number: 4843754
Abstract: A fishhook has a tapered conical sinker mounted on the upper end of the shank. The eyelet is offset at a 90.degree. angle to the shank. When this fishhook is mounted in an artificial lure, the entire fishhook, except the eyelet, is hidden by the body of the lure. The fishhook is sized to fit the lure so that there is no significant distortion of the lure. The position of the eyelet and the sinker prevent the lure from rotating during retrieval and the lure rides naturally in the water.

  • Patent number: 4844805
Abstract: A reverse osmosis water purification module has an enclosed cylindrical housing in which at least twelve purification elements are mounted in a uniform, spaced parallel fashion. Each element consists of a long flat member having a thermoplastic sheet backing formed into a slightly curved cross section and having a semi-permeable membrane disposed thereon. The backing has three-dimensional porosity for purified water such that water passing through the membrane portion of the element travels along the backing member to an end. The ends of the module are mounted in a collection manifold which is sealed off from the remainder of the housing interior. A method of manufacturing the elements continuously is also provided wherein a continuous length of flexible backing material is fed sequentially through a heater, a forming die to impart a curved cross-section to the backing material, an extruder wherein membrane forming fluid is extruded around the periphery of the backing, a chill bath and a heating bath.
