    Abstract: A level control system for a motor vehicle with an unsprung mass including a wheel, a sprung mass, and a shock absorber connecting the sprung and unsprung masses comprises fluid power apparatus activatable to level the sprung mass with respect to the unsprung mass, a sensor effective to generate a signal indicating the level of the sprung mass relative to the unsprung mass and apparatus responsive to the sensor to compute the difference between the total times, within a predetermined time period, spent by the level above and below a predetermined trim band and apparatus effective to compare the difference of the times with a reference comprising a predetermined percentage of the predetermined time period and activate the fluid power apparatus if the difference exceeds the reference in magnitude, whereby the system can maintain a narrow trim band while the vehicle is not moving while avoiding unnecessary corrections and cycling due to excursions above and below the trim band during vehicle movement over rough

    Abstract: A windshield cleaner control for a vehicle in which signals from separate washer and wiper actuating switches in the vehicle passenger compartment are voltage multiplexed on a single electric conductor through the firewall to washer and wiper actuating circuitry in the vehicle passenger compartment. A wiper actuating path is established including, in series, a source of electric power, a wiper motor actuating coil relay, the park switch and the washer motor, the internal impedance of the actuating coil being sufficiently greater than that of the washer motor that the latter is not activated by current flow through the former. The parallel wiper and washer switches are connected in series between the source of electric power and the electric conductor, park switch and washer motor, but a resistor in series with the wiper switch similarly prevents activation of the washer motor by the wiper switch.

    Abstract: A vehicle engine has a throttle stop positionable in response to an actuator command signal to determine engine idle speed. Apparatus is provided to generate a speed error signal having both an absolute value and a further characteristic indicative of high or low speed; and further apparatus is provided including a memory effective to store actuator command signals corresponding to specific speed error signals and speed correction apparatus effective to obtain an actuator command signal from the memory corresponding to each speed error signal and supply the actuator command signal to the throttle stop positioning apparatus to correct engine idle speed in the direction of a predetermined desired engine idle speed.
