  • Patent number: 6363847
Abstract: The invention greatly improves an efficiency of a whole of aparts mounting process. In a method of applying an adhesive material to a parts mounted circuit board, a recess portion surrounding a part of a circuit board in which the parts are already mounted is provided on a back surface, a portion corresponding to a position at which the parts of the circuit board should be mounted is protruded in the recess portion, and a mask having a through hole for applying the adhesive material in the protruding portion is used. Then, the mask is mounted on the circuit board and the adhesive material is pressed out from a through hole by a squeegee in a screen printing apparatus so as to be applied.

  • Patent number: 6363846
Abstract: A screen printing apparatus is configured to perform a printing operation and a checking and inspecting of the state of print on a substrate. A mask frame and a camera apparatus for checking and inspecting the print state are arranged along a direction of transfer of the substrate so as to be disposed in parallel to each other. After the substrate receives a printed pattern by operation of a squeegee apparatus, the substrate is moved by substrate support tables to a checking and inspecting station. The supporting tables are arranged below the mask frame and the camera apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6353943
Abstract: A flexible, absorbent, fabric mat or cover is removably affixed to a bathtub over the side or lip thereof. The fabric is advantageously terry cloth. Particularly where a bather's hand is wet or soapy, the coefficient of friction of the bathtub lip is substantially improved relative to an uncovered porcelain or enamel coated bathtub. Safety is improved even if the terry cloth inadvertently becomes saturated with water, and the device is readily removable for washing and readily washable.

  • Patent number: 6353707
Abstract: An electric heating device includes a flexible resistor ribbon, a plurality of sections of electroconductive coating attached to the resistor ribbon at preset intervals, and connector contacts coupled to the resistor ribbon for enabling connection of a power source to the resistor ribbon. The resistor ribbon has a high specific impedance. The flexible resistor ribbon is attached to a rigid or flexible flat base panel for incorporation into a building as a floor, wall or ceiling panel. Layers of electric insulation are attached to the base so as to sandwich the flexible resistor ribbon. Where the resistor ribbon is bent back on itself, for example, to form a snaking configuration, a strip of two-sided adhesive tape is attached to the layers of electric insulation and to the ribbon at multiple spaced points.

  • Patent number: 6352026
Abstract: A screen printing apparatus for applying a printing agent in different thicknesses to a plate. A mask of the apparatus has a width corresponding to or matching the widths of two plates to be printed. A first portion of the mask, for applying a first printing to the plate, is reduced by recessing an upper surface of the mask portion, with screen holes being provided therein pursuant to a desired pattern. A second portion of the mask, for applying a second printing to the plate, is provided with screen holes in a different pattern. Recesses are provided in the lower surface of the second portion of the mask for receiving the printing agent applied via the first portion of the mask, thereby preventing the printing agent from attaching to the second portion of the mask. A single printing operation, on two plates disposed side by side, is performed by moving a squeegee having two portions with different thicknesses or heights. The plate to be printed can be shifted under the lower surface of the mask.

  • Patent number: 6331182
Abstract: A procedure wherein an elongate, at least partially flexible tie member is partially wound about tissues to be closed at a surgical site. Opposite ends of the flexible tie element are entrained by a twisting instrument which has a distal end juxtaposed to the surgical site. The twisting instrument extends out of the patient so that a proximal end of the instrument is manipulable by a surgeon. The surgeon rotates the instrument about a longitudinal axis, thereby twisting the tie member multiple turns about itself. Where the tie member is a wire, the twisting effectively locks the tie member at the surgical site. The tie member may then be severed by a cutters so that the tissues are closed.

  • Patent number: 6332079
Abstract: Disclosed is a service area expansion method and a method of processing calls between service areas in a mobile communication system adopting a CDMA system like a DCS (digital cellular system) or a PCS (personal communication system), in which a reference clock is delayed and an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) of a plurality of CSMs (cell site modems) in a base station is controlled using such a delayed reference clock so as to expand service area by each CSM ASIC unit, and a handoff area is positioned between expanded service areas so as to perform a normal call processing. A base station of a CDMA mobile communication system is provided with a plurality of CSM ASICs having the same configuration and a delayed reference clock is fed to each CSM ASIC, thus expanding service area. Such a communication service may be provided to the coastal area where a base station is easily installed.

  • Patent number: 6326039
Abstract: In a method for the manufacture of frankfurters, hot dogs and other skinless sausage products, a meat emulsion is extruded onto a flexible conveyor belt which is then conveyed through a tube whose internal diameter is equal to the desired diameter of the sausage product plus twice the thickness of the conveyor belt. In a camming type process, the conveyor belt is caused, upon its entry into the tube, to temporarily form a cylinder containing the meat emulsion. The temporary belt cylinder together with the surrounded meat emulsion extrudate is then conveyed through an ultrasonic waveform generator to cook an outer layer of the meat emulsion. The outer layer may be part of the meat emulsion or a thermoset gelling material deposited on the extruded meat emulsion. At the exit end of the tube, the conveyor belt naturally opens under internal stresses from its cylindrical shape to a flattened belt. The at least partially cooked sausage is then removed from the belt for further processing or packaging.

  • Patent number: 6322832
Abstract: In a method for the manufacture of frankfurters, hot dogs and other skinless sausage products, a meat emulsion is extruded onto a flexible conveyor belt which is then conveyed through an at least partially microwave-transparent tube whose internal diameter is equal to the desired diameter of the sausage product plus twice the thickness of the conveyor belt. In a camming type process, the conveyor belt is caused, upon its entry into the tube, to temporarily form a cylinder containing the meat emulsion. The temporary belt cylinder together with the surrounded meat emulsion extrudate is then conveyed through a microwave applicator to partially or thoroughly cook the meat emulsion. At the exit end of the tube, the conveyor belt naturally opens under internal stresses from its cylindrical shape to a flattened belt. The at least partially cooked sausage is then removed from the belt for further processing or packaging.
