    Abstract: A vapor flow controller apparatus for delivery of chemical reagent vapors from a liquid phase source material is provided which includes a source container containing the liquid phase source material, a pump to transport the liquid phase source material to a vaporizor module, the pump having a flow rate controller, and the vaporizer module having a source material inlet, a carrier gas inlet, and a vaporized gas outlet. The vaporizer module converts the liquid phase source material to a vapor. The vapor flow controller apparatus further includes a source material conduit for passage of the liquid phase source material from the source container to the source material inlet of the vaporizer module. The vapor flow controller apparatus further includes a carrier gas container containing a carrier gas and having a carrier gas outlet conduit controlled by a mass flow controller.

    Abstract: A method for the production of nitrogen trifluoride from a fluorine reactant and an ammonium ion source that is dispersed within a liquid phase reaction mixture containing one or more perfluorocarbon fluids is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the fluorine reactant is introduced to the reaction mixture at a temperature that ranges from 90° C. to 120° C. In this embodiment, the percentage yield of nitrogen trifluoride may be about 80% or greater.

    Abstract: A vessel for the storage and transportation of bulk volumes of a fluid is described herein and a method for using same. The vessel contains a plurality of dividers that apportion the internal volume into a number of sections. The dividers within the vessel aid in minimizing sloshing of the fluid contained therein during transport. In addition, the dividers optimize the fluid flow pattern thereby allowing for the continuous purge of the vessel without the need for the application of a partial or full vacuum.

    Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in a process and apparatus for delivering ultra high purity liquid carbon dioxide to a point of use at pressures above ambient without pumping. In the process a high purity carbon dioxide feed in gaseous or liquid form is charged to a vessel and at least partially solidified, i.e., converted to a solid phase. As the liquid is converted to a solid phase, additional liquid is added until the vessel is at least substantially filled with slush. Once filled, the slush or solid is isochorically heated, i.e., heated at constant volume whereby the solid phase carbon dioxide is converted to a liquid. Liquid, then, is withdrawn from the vessel at a desired pressure at a rate at which the solid phase carbon dioxide is converted to a liquid.
