Abstract: A monitoring system captures and processes messages from SS7 links, to compile call detail records (CDRs) for all interoffice call attempts. The CDRs are uploaded into a relational database. A data preparation operation utilizes external information to enhance the records for further processing, for example, to translate release cause codes in the records to textual indications of reasons for the releases. The enhanced records are loaded into a multi-dimensional database. The multi-dimensional database software facilitates analysis of the records to identify a variety of network traffic patterns and related troubles. In particular, the processing of the enhanced CDR data can provide a variety of analytical tools and reports, using the release cause codes. For example, the analysis can indicate the number of calls to a destination that did not get through and identify by major categories the principle reasons that calls did not go through, e.g. user busy, no trunk available, etc.

Abstract: A slit head 76A is provided prior to intermittent feed rollers 73A and 73B. The slit head 76A is made of a rigid body such as magnetic iron and is used as a contact member. The slit head 76A is provided with a slit 78 on the side of a reference light L4 in the vicinity of an exposure position P1. The reference light L4 is transmitted through the slit 78 of the slit head 76A. In addition to magnetic iron, stainless steel and the like are used for the contact member 76A. On the side of an object light L3 at the exposure position P1, there is provided a presser plate member 76B for pressing the holographic recording medium 10 against the slit head 76A. The presser plate member 76B is also provided with a slit 82 and is arranged corresponding to an incident position of the object light L3. A magnetic member is used for the presser plate member 76B.
Abstract: In a system in which images having parallax data, and which are made up of plural images containing the parallax information are processed with viewing point conversion, and the resulting new images having parallax data are used, as in a system of generating a holographic stereogram, a unit for generating the images having parallax data is to be independent from other unit or units. To this end, the information necessary to perform viewing point conversion processing of converting the viewing point for an object is attached to images having parallax data when the images having parallax data have been produced. When the images having parallax data is exchanged between the unit for generating the images having parallax data and other unit or units, the exchanged images having parallax data need to be those to which the information has been attached.
Abstract: A resist solution discharge nozzle for discharging a resist solution to a wafer is moved at a constant speed along a radial direction of the wafer while the wafer is being rotated. During this movement, the amount of the resist solution to be discharged from the resist solution discharge nozzle is gradually decreased. The resist solution discharged to the wafer is applied to the front surface of the wafer drawing a spiral track, and coating amounts of the resist solution per unit area with respect to a central portion and a peripheral portion of the wafer can be made equal. Accordingly, waste of a processing solution supplied onto a substrate can be eliminated, and a uniform processing solution film can be formed on the substrate.
Abstract: In a brake system with electronic brake force distribution, the electronic brake force distribution is deactivated as soon as the maximum vehicle deceleration achieved during electronic control falls below by a given factor between 0 and 1, for example, two thirds. The purpose is that an early exit from the electronic brake force distribution is effected even if the brake light switch is defective, with the result that unnecessary valve actuations and the risk of underbraking are prevented. The present invention is applicable to brake systems where the criteria for the activation of the electronic brake force distribution are independent of a brake light switch signal, and to other brake systems if there is a defect in the brake light switch. The present invention makes it possible to sense in good time that the driver has taken his/her foot off the brake pedal or no longer desires heavy deceleration.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pump, more particularly a radial piston pump, including at least two pump pistons (10) with an associated working chamber (13) each, wherein the working chambers (13) are connected to suction lines (4) by way of suction valve devices (8) and to a joint pressure line (5) by way of pressure valve devices (9), wherein at least one of the suction valve devices (8) opens during the pressure stroke in dependence on the pressure in one of the associated lines (4, 5), and wherein at least one of the suction valve devices (8) opens during the pressure stroke in dependence on the pressure in the pressure line (5).
Abstract: A brake system including a master cylinder connected to wheel brakes is supplemented by a fluid return system made up of return pumps so that the braking pressure can be adjusted in the wheel brakes. In order to extend this system to a brake system which permits the generation of wheel brake pressure without the application of the brake pedal, the suction side of at least one return pump is connected to the pressure side of a charging pump which aspirates fluid directly from the supply reservoir. To prevent the pressure in the low-pressure range of the system from rising excessively high, the charging pressure of the pump is adjusted so that it only slightly exceeds the precharging pressure of the suction side of the low-pressure accumulator.

Abstract: A piston ring having a keystone shape and an orientation feature on one of its surfaces for ensuring proper orientation of the ring during installation. The piston ring preferably has an outer peripheral surface that includes a sealing land with a nitride hardened surface to resist wear during the service life of the piston ring. A tapered surface is also provided on the outer peripheral surface adjacent to the sealing land.
