Patent number: 6260901Abstract: A bracket for engagement with an object of a substantially rigid sheet-like material has a V- or U-shaped body portion that is produced from a spring material. The body portion has two shanks, and in each shank there is a recess. Each recess is open to an edge of the shank. The recesses have opposing abutment surfaces, and one of the abutment surfaces is on a flap extending from the shank. One or more tips project from any of the abutment surfaces to establish a point contact with sheet material to hold it. When the opposing abutment surfaces are in line with each other, a look-through region between the abutment surfaces increases when the shanks are moved relative to one another against the spring bias to enable positioning the material therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 1999Date of Patent: July 17, 2001Assignee: Torestorps Trad ABInventor: HÃ¥kan Torefors

Patent number: 6260761Abstract: A device and method is provided for converting product-specific identification numbers associated with bar code indicia on pharmaceutical products to an industry standard identification number. The process involves reading a bar code indicia, converting the indicia into an input string and standardizing the input string by means of adding or subtracting characters in accordance with rules based on the bar code type and length of the input string. By means of the invention pharmaceutical products of two different sources may be compared to determine if they contain the same drug as determined by the standard identification number. The device can include a removable member for interchanging and updating bar code indicia information rather than reprogramming the device.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2000Date of Patent: July 17, 2001Inventor: Max J. Patent number: 6217010Abstract: An apparatus and method for supporting a dynamic load relative to a foundation, such as a vehicle relative to the road, by a hydraulic system that monitors the movement of the load and adds or removes hydraulic fluid from the system to compensate for the load change. The hydraulic system is preferably one or more hydraulic cylinders that have a first chamber operably connected to the load and a second chamber operably connected to the foundation. The first and second chamber are connected by a valve. The valve is connected to the second chamber and a source of pressurized fluid with a reservoir. The first chamber senses the load change and the valve adds fluid from the pressurized fluid source to the second chamber or removes fluid from the second chamber to the reservoir to compensate for the change in the load and maintain the load in substantially the same position relative to the foundation.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 1999Date of Patent: April 17, 2001Inventor: P. Patent number: 6206282Abstract: A container having a circuit board for storing and transmitting identifying information unique to the container includes a predetermined alphanumeric code transmitted upon activation of the circuit board by a selected radio frequency. The circuit board is encapsulated in a synthetic resinous support member molded to the circuit board. The encapsulation provides a barrier between the circuit board and the environment external to the container. A circuit board reader selectively energizes the circuit board via radio frequency to transmit the identifying information.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1999Date of Patent: March 27, 2001Assignee: Pyper Products CorporationInventors: Doyle A. Patent number: 6185837Abstract: A vent system has a rotatable connection between flexible conduits, which carry heated air from the dryer to an external location, such as the atmosphere. The vent system consists of a swivel coupler rotatably connecting a pair of flexible exhaust conduits, one of which is readily attachable to a dryer exhaust outlet, which discharges exhaust air from the dryer, and the other of which is readily attachable to an outlet pipe, which carries exhaust air from the flexible exhaust conduit through a wall and to the atmosphere. Each flexible exhaust conduit, which is laterally flexible and axially extensible, includes a segmented elbow allowing bending up to approximately a right angle in one direction. The swivel coupler includes a rotatable joint wherein an annular extension on one half of the connector travels in an annular indentation in the other half so as to enable rotation therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1999Date of Patent: February 13, 2001Assignee: Builder's Best, Inc.Inventor: W.
