  • Patent number: 4502260
Abstract: A corner fastener is disclosed for joining angularly oriented tubular members concomitantly forming a corner of a frame assembly. Moreover, resilient fingers and hemispherically-shaped nipples of corner fasteners respectively facilitate securement of frame assemblies to window frames and provide breather-space separation of frame assemblies from window frames.

  • Patent number: 4469344
Abstract: A three-wheeled vehicle in which the frame of a two-wheeled vehicle is pivotally interconnected with an assembly comprising two laterally positioned, steerable front wheels. In addition to causing the front wheels to turn, the rotational movement of the steering shaft having an integrally constructed spiral track simultaneously causes the frame to tilt by utilizing one end of an arm pivotally connected to the front wheel axle and the other end pivotally connected to tracking means for following the rotatable spiral track.

  • Patent number: 4021969
Abstract: A mechanical device for abrading the surfaces of workpieces is disclosed in which a power driven perforated abrasive coated endless belt comes into intimate parallel contact with a rotatably driven slotted disc platen. The perforated abrasive coated endless belt is oriented so that its noncoated side contacts the slotted disc platen. The periodic alignment of the slots of the revolving disc platen with the perforations of the abrasive coated endless belt allows an operator to continually observe a workpiece while its surface is being abraded.

  • Patent number: 3998860
Abstract: Solidification of liquid crystalline compositions is retarded by incorporating therein compounds which are steroid derivatives of isostearyl carbonate. These novel carbonates which are quite stable to environmental factors such as ultraviolet light exposure, temperature changes, oxidation, etc., retard solidification of liquid crystalline compositions for extended periods of time. Moreover, these compounds, some of which of themselves exhibit color play, can be used in increasing amounts to increasingly narrow the color play range without noticeably decreasing the specular intensity of the color changes of liquid crystalline compositions.
