Abstract: The present invention provides a data distributing system for transmitting and receiving data between a terminal device and a server via a network. The server stores, for content data, additional data for modifying the content data or new content data obtained as a result of the modification of the content data and, in response to download and/or stream reproduction of the additional data and the new content data from the server by the terminal device, executes settlement processing and/or value point granting processing with respect to the additional data or the new content data.
Abstract: An a.c. switch includes across first and second main terminals a first thyristor disposed in parallel with, but in an opposite direction of, a first diode and in series with a second thyristor disposed in parallel with but in an opposite direction of, a second diode. The first thyristor has a gate terminal connected to its gate area. The second thyristor and second diode are vertically realized in the same substrate, their conduction areas being closely interlaced, whereby a polarity inversion following a conduction period of the second diode causes the second thyristor to become conductive.
Abstract: A fast adder chain for adding together at least one pair of digital words and including a plurality of cascaded adder blocks. Each block having computation adders for obtaining the pseudosum of said pair of digital words and latches for storing and transmitting the pseudosum to the next block and the pseudocarry from the computation to the chain end.
Abstract: A programmable interface designed for the reception, on N input ports, of information elements coming from N distinct information transmission input media, wherein the programmable interface includes: one identification circuit capable of receiving the information elements coming from said N input ports, and of giving N distinct identification signals characteristic of the input media: at least one reception circuit for receiving information elements including a programmable input bit controller; and a microprocessor or specialized circuit capable of receiving both the identification signals coming from the identification circuit, and the information elements coming from the reception circuit, the microprocessor controlling a programming element that gives bit control or frame control parameters, characteristic of the input media, to the programmable input bit controller.
Abstract: An adaptive method for suppressing video signal echoes in television equalizers including digital filters having coefficients which are updated in an adaptive and iterative manner using a modified LMS (Least Mean Square) algorithm until the difference, or output error, between a target output signal, called the reference signal, and an outgoing signal from the equalizer is gradually reduced.
