Abstract: A method for enhancing the thermal stability of polymeric compositions containing inorganic fillers and conventional stabilizers by adding as filler deactivator normal and overbased ammonium, alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salt of monoalkyl- and dialkylnaphthalenesulfonic acid and stabilized compositions thereof.
Abstract: Condensation product is prepared by condensing diphenylamine and 2-octanone in the presence of acid catalyst. The product is formulated with p,p'-dioctyldiphenylamine antioxidant and incorporated in lubricants for inhibition of degradation due to oxidation and corrosion.
Abstract: Process for the production of 2-mercaptotoluimidazole by reacting stabilized o-toluenediamine with carbon disulfide in a solvent and recovering the formed product by filtration. o-Toluenediamine is stabilized with hydrazine or its salts. Subsequently 2-mercaptotoluimidazole is converted to a metal salt.

Abstract: Light weight porous ceramic bodies characterized by uniform porosity are prepared by forming an aqueous slurry of a mixture of pyrophyllite and clay having a solids content of 35 to 60 percent, mechanically agitating, drying and firing. Optionally, the composition may contain kyanite.
Abstract: Vulcanizable compositions comprising neoprene, metal oxides and a binary accelerator system comprising 3,5-disubstituted 2H-1,3,5-thiadiazine-2-thione and a zinc salt of certain dithiocarbamates and method for curing same.
