  • Patent number: 6371925
Abstract: A radiation thermometer measures temperature of the eardrum. The thermometer comprises a signal processor for calculating a temperature from an output of a light receptor, which receives only the infrared rays radiated directly from the eardrum and/or vicinity of it, and a notification system for notifying the temperature resulted from the calculation. Since the structure does not receive an influence of any radiant heats from other than those of the eardrum and/or vicinity of it, temperature change of a probe does not become a factor of measuring errors, so as to offer an accurate measurement of temperatures.

  • Patent number: 6349277
Abstract: It is to assign proper pitch marks to voice waveforms, thereby to obtain smoothly synthesized voices and to control pitches of voices very accurately according to pitch marks of recorded messages. Any one of the fixed low-pass filters 3002-a to 3002-d is set so as to pass only fundamental component of voices and each of peak detectors 3003-a to 3003-d detects peaks and the channel selector 3004 is selected, thereby to keep taking out of peak information for fundamental waves. The channel selector 3004 decides a channel to be a correct channel if intervals of peaks detected by the peak detectors 3003-a to d are changed smoothly in the channel. According to this peak information, pitches of voices are analyzed, so that the adaptive filter 3005 passes only fundamental component of voices and the peak detector 3006 detects peaks of fundamental waves, thereby to assign pitch marks to voice waveforms.

  • Patent number: 6348937
Abstract: Registration patterns are formed plural times at arbitrary positions in the period determined by the conveying drawing fluctuation period detector when forming registration patterns. The average of the color deviation amount obtained from these plural registration patterns is the color deviation amount. As a result, the color deviation amount can be detected accurately. By detecting the accurate color deviation amount, the precision of color deviation correction is enhanced. It hence presents a color image forming apparatus capable of obtaining images of high print quality.

  • Patent number: 6325279
Abstract: A lead-free solder alloy of electrode for joining electronic parts fine in texture and excellent in thermal fatigue resistant characteristic is presented. This is a solder alloy of electrode for joining electronic parts comprising Sn, Ag and Cu as principal components, and more particularly a solder alloy of electrode for joining electronic parts containing 92 to 97 wt. % of Sn, 3.0 to 6.0 wt. % of Ag, and 0.1 to 2.0 wt. % of Cu. By adding a small amount of Ag to the solder mainly composed of Sn, a fine alloy texture is formed, and texture changes are decreased, so that an alloy excellent in thermal fatigue resistance is obtained. Further, by adding a small amount of Cu, an intermetallic compound is formed, and the junction strength is improved.

  • Patent number: 6326845
Abstract: A feedforward amplifier includes a power divider for dividing the input signal into first and second signals. The first signal is processed in a first path that includes, in sequence, a first vector adjuster, a main amplifier, a directional coupler and a delay circuit. The second signal is delayed in a second path that includes, in sequence, another delay circuit, a first power combiner and an auxiliary amplifier block. The first power combiner combines the first signal, by way of a coupling port from the directional coupler, with the second signal to provide a combined signal into the auxiliary amplifier block. The auxiliary amplifier block further divides the second signal into two divided signals, each having a respective non-overlapping frequency band. The two divided signals are respectively vector adjusted, amplified, and then recombined. The recombined signal is then recombined with the processed signal in the first path to provide the desired output signal.
