Abstract: A utility receptacle apparatus for use with an article of furniture having a work surface and an opening in the work surface. The utility receptacle apparatus has a grommet member having a top side, a bottom side, a peripheral portion and an opening. The bottom side comprises a structure that is sized to fit into an opening in the work surface. The peripheral portion is sized so as to contact the work surface when the structure is disposed within the opening in the work surface. The utility receptacle apparatus further includes a device charging system attached to the grommet member. The device charging system has a charging pad for receiving and charging a chargeable electronic device. The device charging system also has electrical conductors for connection to an electrical power source. The utility receptacle apparatus further includes a receptacle base member which has portions thereof that are configured to be attached to the underside of a work surface of the article of furniture.

Abstract: An integrated fan drive system for air-cooled heat exchangers. The integrated fan drive system has a high-torque, low speed permanent magnet motor having a rotatable shaft, a fan that is directly connected to the rotatable shaft, and a variable frequency drive device in electrical signal communication with the permanent magnet motor to control the rotational speed of the permanent magnet motor. The high-torque, permanent magnet motor comprises no more than two bearings in operative association with the shaft. The variable frequency drive device has a variable frequency controller that has an input for receiving AC power and an output for providing electrical signals that control the operational speed of high-torque, permanent magnet motor. The variable frequency drive device also includes a user interface in electronic data signal communication with the variable frequency controller to allow a user to input motor speed control data. Other embodiments of the invention are described herein.

Abstract: A network of power and communication receptacle devices having a plurality of power and communication receptacle devices. Each power and communication receptacle device has at least one power receptacle, at least one communication receptacle, and a power cable assembly having a dual power head. The power cable assembly is configured to provide electrical power to the power receptacle. The network includes a plurality of interconnecting power cables. Each power cable has a first power feeder electrically connected to the dual power head of one of the power and communication receptacle devices and a second power feeder electrically connected to the dual power head of a next power and communication receptacle device. The network includes a power feeding cable having electrically connected thereto a power feeder for connection to a dual power head of a first one of the power and communication receptacles and a device for connection to a power source.

Abstract: A gaming machine and a method for playing the gaming machine. In one embodiment, the method comprises the steps of providing a gaming machine having a plurality of games and a plurality of corresponding pay-tables wherein each pay-table corresponds to a particular game, making a wager so as to provide a player with an opportunity to play the gaming machine, playing at least two of the games simultaneously if the wager fulfills predetermined criterion, and providing a pay-out to the player in accordance with the pay-tables that correspond to the games being simultaneously played.

Abstract: An annular, axial seal has a central section having a first linear section that has first and second ends. The seal has a curved, first portion that is contiguous with the first end of the first linear section and extends to a first end. The seal includes a second portion that is contiguous with the second end of the first linear section. The second portion includes an arcuate portion and a second linear section contiguous with the arcuate portion wherein the arcuate portion is between the first linear section and the second linear section. The second linear section is located across from the first linear section. A curved end portion is contiguous with the second linear section wherein the second linear section is between the arcuate portion and the curved end portion. The curved end portion extends to a second end that is located across from the first linear section.

Abstract: A power and communication receptacle trough has a frame which has an upper, peripheral portion and a plurality of walls downwardly extending from the upper, peripheral portion. The frame defines an interior region. A receptacle attachment member is disposed within the interior region of the frame and is attached to the frame. The receptacle attachment member has a wave-like contour having a crest portion. At least one power or communication receptacle is connected to the receptacle attachment member. The receptacle attachment member has a central portion and the crest portion of the wave-like contour is at the central portion of the receptacle attachment member. Covers are movably attached to the upper, peripheral portion. Each cover corresponds to a respective half of the frame. A lighting device is attached to the receptacle attachment member to illuminate the interior region of the frame.

Abstract: An integrated fan drive system for a cooling tower comprising a high-torque, low speed permanent magnet motor having a rotatable shaft, a fan comprising a hub that is directly connected to the rotatable shaft and a plurality of fan blades that are attached to the hub, and a variable frequency drive device in electrical signal communication with the permanent magnet motor to control the rotational speed of the permanent magnet motor. The high-torque, permanent magnet motor comprises no more than two bearings in operative association with the shaft. Abstract: The present invention is directed to, in one aspect, a medical apparatus having a nasogastric tube with hypopharyngeal suctioning capability. In one embodiment, the medical apparatus has a flexible nasogastric tube for insertion through a patient's nose. The nasogastric tube has a first end defining a first opening, a distal, second end that defines a second opening, and a length sufficient to allow the second opening to be positioned in a patient's stomach. The medical apparatus also has a flexible oropharyngeal tube for insertion through a patient's mouth. The oropharyngeal tube has a first end and a distal, second end that defines a suction intake. The oropharyngeal tube has a length that is less than the length of the nasogastric tube and which allows the suction intake to be positioned in a patient's hypopharynx region. In another embodiment of the invention, the medical apparatus has a laryngeal mask with hypopharyngeal suctioning capability.

Abstract: A method of playing a card wagering game. Each player places an ante. A first number of cards is dealt face down to each player and a dealer to form a player hand and a dealer hand. Players view their cards and decide whether to continue play or surrender. Players that surrender shall fold and forfeit their ante wager. Remaining players place a call wager to continue play. A second number of cards is dealt face down to each remaining player and the dealer so that each player and the dealer now have a hand of the first and second number of cards. If any player does not have at least a four card straight, a four card flush or a four card straight-flush that player loses his ante wager. Each player that has at least a four card straight, a four card flush or a four card straight-flush now plays against the dealer's hand. A player is paid on the player's ante and call wagers in accordance with a pay-table when the player's hand outranks the dealer's hand.

Abstract: A lid assembly for an outlet unit built into an article having a work surface, the power and communication outlet is positioned below an opening or cut-out in the work surface, the opening has an inner side that extends about the opening. The lid assembly has a lid structure that has a pair of lid support members that are joined to the lid at a corresponding side of the lid. The lid assembly further includes a pair of pivot support members that are configured to be joined to the inner side of the opening in the article. Each pivot support member has an inner side and a pivot pin member joined to the inner side. The lid structure is attached to the pivot pin members and pivotal between a closed portion and an opened portion. The lid structure pivots in a first direction to attain the closed position and in an opposite, second direction to attain an opened position.

Abstract: A fragrance emitting apparatus for connection to a USB port. In one embodiment, the fragrance emitting apparatus comprises a casing having an interior and at least one vent in communication with the interior, a cover removably attached to the casing to provide access to the interior, and a fragrance bottle removably disposed within the interior of the casing and having therein a liquid that provides a desired fragrance. The fragrance bottle further comprises a fragrance member having a first portion within fragrance bottle and a second portion extending from the fragrance bottle. The fragrance member is configured to absorb liquid in the fragrance bottle. The apparatus further comprises a micro-pump device positioned within the interior of the casing and adjacent to the second portion of the fragrance member. The micro-pump device has an oscillating member that contacts the second portion of the fragrance member.

Abstract: A fragrance emitting apparatus (20) for connection to a USB port. In one embodiment, the fragrance emitting apparatus (20) comprises a casing (22) having an interior and a fragrance vent (36A, 36B) in communication with the interior, a heating element (42) located within the casing (22) that generates heat when electrical power is applied thereto, a USB connector (28) connected to the casing (22) and electrically connected to the heating element (42) so as to provide electrical power to the heating element (42) when the USB connector (28) is connected to a USB port, and a stationary fragrance member (50) located within the casing (22) to provide a fragrance, scent or aroma when heat is applied to the fragrance member (50). The fragrance member (50) is proximate to the heating element (42) so that heat generated by the heating element (42) causes the fragrance member (50) to emit a fragrance, scent or aroma which exits the interior of the casing (22) through the vent (36A, 36B).

Abstract: A storage unit having a back panel, a top panel attached to the back panel, a bottom panel attached to the back panel, a pair of opposing side panels attached to the back, top and bottom panels so as to define a housing having an interior, and a plurality of shelf members positioned within the interior of the housing and arranged in a vertically oriented fashion. The shelf members are removably mounted to the back panel and opposing side panels. The storage unit further comprises a plurality of divider members removably positioned between (i) each pair of consecutive shelf members, (ii) the top panel and an uppermost shelf member and (iii) the bottom panel and a lowermost shelf member. The divider members define a plurality of compartments. In one embodiment, the compartments function as drawer-receiving spaces wherein each drawer-receiving space is sized for receiving a corresponding drawer. Each divider member can be repositioned to provide compartments of varying sizes.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing utilities at a selected location of a work station. The apparatus has a housing that has an upper peripheral portion and a pair of oppositely positioned sidewalls that extend downwardly from the upper peripheral portion. The housing defines a spatial region between the sidewalls. The housing has an opening that is bounded by the upper peripheral portion and in communication with the spatial region. An inner support structure is attached to and between the sidewalls of the housing and located within the spatial region of the housing. The inner support structure has sidewalls, a bottom portion and a pair of lengthwise panel members that define a spatial region of the inner support structure. The inner support structure has a generally “V” shape cross-section wherein the lengthwise panels are angulated with respect to the bottom portion and away from each other. A utility receptacle module is attached to each lengthwise panel.

Abstract: A spline apparatus is provided which includes a spline section and a spline channel cover section. The spline apparatus includes an intermediate section that is intermediate and joined to the spline section and a spline channel cover section. A frame member is also provided that can be used with the aforesaid spline apparatus. A center divider is also provided which can be used with the aforesaid frame member and spline apparatus to form a complete main frame assembly that can retain a screen insert and/or glazed insert. An “R” channel member is also provided for use with the aforesaid frame member.

The utility receptacle apparatus includes a receptacle base member that has a top plate section which has a top side and a bottom side. The top plate section has a pair of oppositely positioned raised sections and a recessed section that is located between the raised sections.
