  • Patent number: 4463469
Abstract: An automatic bowling lane dressing applicator and buffer comprising a machine to which are mounted suspended pivotally mounted blade buffers having resilient buffing pads mounted on the periphery of the blades, which buff dressing placed on the lane surface in front of the buffer onto the lane surface, transferring excess dressing into the ball contact area of the lane as the machine is run backward and forward along the lane.

  • Patent number: 4445460
Abstract: A crowd gate for use in herding animals from an entry end of a holding area to the exit end of a holding area of the type in which a wheeled carriage, from which a pivoting gate is suspended into and generally spans the holding area, is moved along tracks above the holding area, the suspended gate herding the animals in the area before it, such gate being responsive to animal contact to stop movement of the carriage, such gate being used in association with gate raising means operative to raise the gate to a horizontal position for return of the carriage to the entry end of the herding area over the heads of incoming animals wherein the improvement comprises a substantially counterbalanced pivoting, spring biased gate mounted so that it hangs forwardly in the direction the animals are to be herded rather than normal to the floor of the holding area, the first contact of the gate thereby being an edge contact of the gate with the legs of the animals being herded, the resistance to pivoting of the gate acting a

  • Patent number: 4320592
Abstract: A device for causing a trolled bait to dive and thereafter to move horizontally from side to side in a rhythmic and pulsing fashion, comprising a thin generally non-flexible planar shape having a weight or a plurality of weights mounted thereon, the center of mass of the weight being positioned radially outward from the center of mass of the non-flexible planar shape and a fishing line affixing device attached at a point on the device, on a line extending from the center of mass of the planar shape through the apparent center of mass of the weights, the preferred position being at a point two thirds of the way from the center of mass of the planar shape to the center of mass of the weight, and a release device operative to cause the device cease its side to side motion upon retrieval of the trolled bait or upon the baits being struck by a fish.

  • Patent number: 4310983
Abstract: This ice fishing device comprises a housing, a shaft rotatably affixed to such housing, such shaft extending above and through the housing and into the water below, a removable articulated fishing rod attached to the end of the shaft that is below the water surface and biased so as to extend radially from the shaft, a device for rotating such shaft with its attached fishing rod through at least part of an arc, the arc being parallel to the surface of the water, below such surface, a signal device and a signal triggering device operative through the strike of a fish on the fishing line.

  • Patent number: 4206163
Abstract: Method for horizontally casting a panel, preferably a non-composite insulated panel of reinforced concrete of substantial area and thickness in a heated mold. The mold is part of a rotating mechanism and lift frame for rotating and vertically stacking the panel when the panel is partially cured.Reinforcing steel is put into a heated mold. A layer of concrete is poured into the mold, forced into close and intimate contact with the mold and through the reinforcing steel by means of a traveling auger, striker plate and vibrating screed; insulation board and shear connectors are placed in the mold, further reinforcing steel is then placed in the mold, and a second layer of concrete is poured into the mold and forced through the reinforcing steel by means of the traveling auger, striking plate and vibrating screed, which at the same time as they force the concrete through the steel, produce a smooth finish on the non-mold contacting surface of the concrete panel.
