  • Patent number: 6132385
Abstract: The method and device for recording mechanical oscillations in soft biological tissues consists of the following: biological tissue is mechanically influenced by means of the testing end (6) of the device and its mechanical responses are subsequently recorded as a graph representing the evoked oscillations. Prior to that, an inflexible plane means (12) is fastened onto the biological tissue in order to designate the area under investigation and connect the testing end with the tissue, causing no harm to the latter. After that the testing end will be inflexibly connected with the inflexible plane means for the time period it takes to influence the tissue mechanically and record its mechanical response.

  • Patent number: 6125862
Abstract: Cleaning apparatus provide for the cleaning of a workpiece by first immersing the workpiece in a cleaning tank having a cleaning liquid therein for a predetermined period of time, removing the workpiece from the cleaning tank, moving the workpiece through air for a pre-selected period of time, and supplying the workpiece to a drying device which then dries the workpiece. As the workpiece is moved through the air, the workpiece may be vibrated, moved at an incline then a decline, and/or have air blasted at it, so that any liquid, e.g. rinsing solution, remaining thereon is caused to fall off, such occurring prior to the drying of the workpiece by the drying device.

  • Patent number: 6124930
Abstract: A problem occurring in the acquisition of planar sectional images by means of transverse optical coherence tomography consists in that the frequency of the photoelectric interferometer signal is not constant during the scanning process. The corresponding frequency bandwidth impedes the electronic bandpass filtering required for noise reduction. However, planar tomographic images are particularly important. A beam path which is telecentric on the object side is realized in that the center of rotation of the pair of scanning mirrors which directs the scanning measurement beam onto the object is arranged in the focal plane of the focussing optics. In this way, the frequency of the photoelectric interferometer signal remains constant during the scanning of planar object sections, which enables optimum noise filtering. The invention is best represented by FIG. 2.

  • Patent number: 6123767
Abstract: A liquid raw material is heated to its boiling point or higher at a vaporizer to mix the vaporized ingredient gas and a carrier gas at a mixer at predetermined concentrations. The flow of the mixed gas is adjusted while the mixed gas is heated to over its condensing point and the temperature thereof is kept. Subsequently, the mixed gas is fed to a reactor for epitaxial growth while the mixed gas is heated to over its condensing point and the temperature thereof is kept. When the temperature of a heating medium is kept constant at the vaporizer to vaporize the liquid raw material and the feeding amount of the liquid into the vaporizer is adjusted by the pressure of the gas inside the vaporizer, the liquid surface level can be controlled to be constant.
