Abstract: A knitted tubular towel-like band worn around the wrist and lower arm during participation in various sports. Plain knit, relatively narrow welts fit snugly around the wrist and arm to hold a center, relatively wide terry knit portion in place over the lower arm and wrist. The terry knit portion serves both as a wristband to keep the hands dry and as a towel for blotting and absorbing perspiration from the face and forehead during play.

Abstract: A non-metallic, inorganic surface, such as glass or ceramic is decorated by heat transfer printing a pattern of disperse dyes thereon. A silane primer is applied to the glass or ceramic surface to receive and bond thereto an organic polymeric resin. The disperse dyes are then heat transferred onto and retained by the polymeric resinous layer. Oxidation of the disperse dyes is prevented by applying a seal coat of a protective material such as lacquer, varnish, or clear resin. The sealant and/or polymeric resinous layer are further provided with an ultraviolet absorber. Frosting of the pattern of disperse dyes is achieved by mixing a flatting agent such as silica in the sealant.

Abstract: A headboard frame includes a pair of opposed side members temporarily held together by separable center sections. The center sections are of varying length determined by whether the headboard is for twin, queen, or king size beds. A two-ply fabric cover is formed from front and rear panels slightly greater in length than the corresponding length of the headboard frame. The cover is seamed around the side and top edges. The bottom edges of the panels are initially separated to allow the cover to slide over the frame, but are then secured by hook and loop fastening strips. The cover is of such a size and so dimensioned that, when in place, the cover firmly holds the frame members together. The cover may be provided with a cushion and/or tufted front surface.
