  • Patent number: 6190486
Abstract: A self-inflatable mattress is formed from an open pore foam core and one or more layers of dual melt film. Initially, a layer of dual melt film is placed on top of the open pore foam block such that the side with the lower melting temperature contacts the foam core. A non-stick, heat transferable buffer layer is then placed on top of the film and heat and pressure are applied, preferably through a roller, causing the bottom surface of the film to stick to the top surface of the foam core. The edges of the top sheet are also adhesably attached to the sides of the core using a pair of heated side pressure rollers. Lastly, the cushion is inverted and a second, or bottom, sheet of dual melt film is placed on top of the foam core and attached to the bottom surface and the sides in a similar manner. Finally, a valve, which may be either oral, or one way, is attached to the side of the mattress.

  • Patent number: 5673737
Abstract: A tap to a process fluid line includes a pressure sensitive cap. The force necessary to remove the cap on the tap is directly proportional to the pressure buildup inside the cap so that an operator can take safety measures before removing the cap. The tap includes a base having a first set of reusable threads thereon and a cap having a second set of reusable threads therein which engage with the first set of threads on the base. A hollow fill tube communicates fluid from the process fluid line through a ball valve to a sample bottle when the cap is removed. The resistance provided by the reusable threads is linear and consistent throughout the entire threading and unthreading procedure. In this manner the force necessary to remove the cap is proportional to the pressure buildup inside of the cap. A helical spring is attachable by an anchor to the fill tube and can be employed to steady the mouth of the sample bottle as it is filled by the fill tube.

  • Patent number: 5667624
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polarization plate to a surface of a liquid crystal cell in a manufacturing process of a liquid crystal panel, where a rotary table is disposed with loading domains for the liquid crystal cell, with each domain sequentially moving to carry-in, cleaning, gluing and carry-out stations. The cleaning mechanism serves to cause an elastic plate to be pushed to the surface of the liquid crystal cell, thereby removing foreign objects. The gluing mechanism serves to cut the polarization plate on the carrier tape to a predetermined length, to thereby allow the same to be a polarization plate chip, which is in turn absorbed and supported by the glue head. The polarization chip is now torn apart from the carrier tape to thereby be glued to the surface of the liquid crystal cell.By this, process of picking up the polariation plate can be shortened and the position of the polarization plate can be determined in a state of the polarization plate being absorbed and supported by the glue head.
