  • Patent number: 4856079
Abstract: An electronic blanking system having a plurality of inputs from a number of radio frequency transmitters and a plurality of outputs for supplying blanking pulses to receivers which are in proximity to the transmitters includes input circuitry for processing input pulses from the inputs to produce processed input signals. Timers alter the timing of the processed input signals as required to produce the needed blanking pulses. Matrix means are provided for routing each blanking pulse to the outputs. A processor controls each matrix to determine the routing. Output drivers supply the blanking pulses, at predetermined voltage levels, to the outputs. The processor also controls the timers to determine the manner in which the timing is altered. The timers includes at least one of a delay for delaying the processed input signals, a stretching circuit for increasing the length of the processed input signals, and a truncator for truncating the length of the processed input signals.

  • Patent number: 4827477
Abstract: A bus interface unit for interfacing a serial bit data bus to a parallel bit data handling system includes a receiver for acquiring serial data from the bus. A clock generates a clock signal at a frequency corresponding to frequency of bits in the serial data. A clock processor receives the serial data and the clock signal to generate a clock processor signal for processing the serial data. A serial to parallel converter responsive to the serial data and the clock processor signal converts the serial data to parallel bit data. An output driver provides the parallel bit data to the parallel bit data handling system. A frame check sequence tester responsive to the serial data and the clock signal provides a validity output signal when the frame check sequence is recognized by the tester. The tester includes a plurality of devices operating in parallel to increase speed. A serial to parallel converter converts data received from the parallel bit data handling device to serial form data.

  • Patent number: 4825213
Abstract: An improved radar system and technique are disclosed for use in detecting and tracking moving or stationary targets within the antenna field of view. Precise correction of doppler induced location errors is provided by the use of raw sensor data. Return signals are doppler processed, phase shifted and compared in a manner which preserves the angle of arrival of a moving target irrespective of the boresight direction. Stationary target return signals are constructively combined so as to augment the target signal gain independent of the antenna boresight direction.

  • Patent number: 4804270
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the displacement of a member relative to a reference plane has a transmitter and a receiver spaced therefrom at a predetermined distance. A reference energy beam coaxially passes through a light diffraction grating having a ruled surface. The grating passes a zero order part of the beam through undeviated and diffracts a multiplicity of beams of first, second, third, and higher order, at constant angles with the zero order part, the angles varying with the frequency of the ruled surface of the grating. A coaxial sleeve movably mounts the light diffraction grating to provide a roll zero reference. The zero order part of the beam provides the zero reference for pitch and yaw and the first order beams provides zero reference for roll. The lines of the ruled surface of the grating have a frequency matching the predetermined distance.

  • Patent number: 4792913
Abstract: An apparatus for simulating, in an engineering workstation (EW) environment, the operation of circuits or systems having analog and digital portions. Information concerning the system or circuit is acquired with input devices such as a keyboard or mouse with the aid of a display and schematic capture programs.
