Abstract: A portable fishing gear holder comprises a single piece of plastic having attachment means at its upper end to readily attach the device to any of many types of clothing, a plurality of forwardly-extending spring arms adapted to grasp and hold the handle of a standard fishing rod, a lower tongue acting as a shelf to limit downward movement of such a rod, and one or more hooks from which various articles of fishing gear may be suspended.
Abstract: An article hanger or keeper comprises a wire formed as a major portion of one turn of a geometric solenoid with two hook end portions having bent-back ends which include bends of approximately .pi. radians (180.degree.) around a radius approximating the diameter of the wire, to provide hangers which may be used singly or in series. The hangers are easy for a human to install and lock or unlock, without a need for any auxiliary tool, but very unlikely to become accidentally unlocked. One disclosed embodiment utilizes a slightly elliptical turn, which renders the hanger self-orienting to deter one type of accidental unlocking.
Abstract: An article container is formed by two generally interlocking wire sheet pieces which fold together in clamshell fashion to provide a container for articles to which access may be had.
Abstract: A motion platform system for tilting and moving an audience of seated people as they view scenes projected on a screen includes four hydraulic cylinders arranged not only to pitch, roll, and heave (vertically translate) the audience, but also to provide longitudinal acceleration and deceleration forces.
Abstract: A thrown or flying toy includes a bubble-producing element having plural openings and capable of producing compound bubbles (plural bubbles attached to each other) which generally resemble the shape of a toy airplane or a cartoon-like character.
Abstract: An improved leaf assembly for incorporation into a book, or formed as part of a cover of a book, to allow selective placement of a page adjacent or atop a selected leaf of the book.

Abstract: A holder assembly for mounting an umbrella on any of a variety of wire baskets used on golf carts includes a hollow tube in which an umbrella handle may be inserted and retained against accidental removal, with means to readily adjust the height of the umbrella, and means to accommodate various shapes and placements of wire baskets. The assembly also may be used on various other vehicles, and it is readily installable and removable without the use of tools.
Abstract: A sawbuck comprising a first pair of members which support one end of a log at a given elevation, with means to support another portion of the log at a lesser elevation, and means to chain down a portion of a log.
Abstract: A testing method and apparatus for determining the reaction time of machine operators, especially drivers of automotive vehicles. A series of images are projected onto a viewing screen to be observed by a student at a student station. The images comprise one or more visual depictions of various operating conditions, including non-threatening and threatening conditions. After presenting a sequence of non-threatening conditions images, an "action cue image" representing a threatening condition is projected. The elapsed time between the projection of the action cue image and the initiation of the required response of the student is measured to derive the student's reaction time, in terms of seconds or distance traveled at a specified speed.
Abstract: A locking plier-wrench includes a first handle member having a first jaw member lockable at a plurality of positions relative to the handle member and removable from the handle member so that a different jaw member having a different length shank may be substituted, and a second jaw member pivotally mounted on the handle member and straddling the handle member.
