Abstract: A bar soap prepared from a tallow-coco soap chip base containing minor amounts of filler, dye and water and from 1 to 5 percent straight chain primary alcohol elected from the group consisting of stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol (1 hexadecanol) and myristyl alcohol, to reduce or eliminate wet cracking of the bar during use.
Abstract: A detergent bar of good mildness and foaming properties for hand washing laundry containing pine oil or pine oil derivatives as stain removal and antibacterial agents.
Abstract: A hair conditioning shampoo is described, which contains C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and/or C.sub.10 alkyl sulfate and/or C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and/or C.sub.10 alkyl lower alkoxylate sulfate as an anionic detergent component, a water insoluble conditioning agent(s) from the group of silicones (preferably a certain type of aminosilicone), polyethylenes, paraffins, isoparaffins, microcrystalline waxes, C.sub.18-36(mixed) fatty acids or such triglycerides, high fatty alcohol ester of a high fatty acid (such as stearyl stearate), beeswax, cationic conditioning agent, such as a quaternary ammonium or any mixture thereof, and a stabilizer for the shampoo, in water. Among adjuvants that may be present are lauric monoethanolamide, cocodiethanolamide, and hydroxyethyl cellulose, other thickeners and viscosity modifiers, pH adjusting agents, antioxidants perfumes and colorants. The presence of the C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and or C.sub.10 alkyl sulfate and/or C.sub.6, C.sub.8 and/or C.sub.

Abstract: A three-position hinge, for mounting a leaf portion to a center portion of a folding table so as to be pivotable between upward, horizontal, and downward positions closely spaced to the center portion, includes a first mounting plate secured to one horizontal surface of the center portion, a recess formed adjacent the first mounting plate recessed into the center portion, a first pivot member integral with the first mounting plate having a pivot pin positioned in the recess, a second mounting plate secured to the leaf portion, and a second pivot member integral with the second mounting plate and provided with a pivot sleeve which is coaxially mounted on the pivot pin. The pivot axis of the pivot pin is positioned equidistant from the upper and lower plane surface and the lateral edge of the center portion in order to maintain the close spacing in the three positions.
Abstract: This invention relates to a closure device for a container and, more particularly, to a three-piece assembly, including a measuring cup and a pouring spout, as well as a container. The measuring cup is provided with an internally threaded skirt for engaging the threaded neck of the container for squeezing the neck with a half-round bead on the member having the pouring spout to form a tight seal between the pouring spout and the measuring cup. The member including the pouring spout includes a truncated conical body tightly press fitted into the neck of the container and is provided with other sealing means between the pouring spout and the container.

Abstract: A package for a flowable material comprising, an elongated collapsible tube defining a chamber to receive the material, the tube having a tapered shoulder, with the shoulder having a generally central opening. The package has a separate insert comprising a hollow tubular section received in the opening, with the tubular section having an outer end portion located outside of the shoulder, and an inner end portion extending into the chamber a sufficient distance to prevent extrusion of the material in the region of the shoulder through the tubular section, and a device for sealingly engaging the shoulder around the opening.
Abstract: An outsole construction for a shoe which provides all midsole and outsole functions with a single homogeneous moldable material thorough geometry alone is disclosed. The invention employs cut-out geometry for engineering various characteristics into an outsole of a uniform, monolithic material. Such characteristics are obtained by removing material or reinforcing the material so that it functions as if it had different densities. The invention is based on the principle of minimum sufficient thickness in order to maintain the foot as close to the ground as possible.
