Abstract: A rear peep sight for mounting to a string of a bow and having interchangeable sight ports for accommodating different user preferences. A mounting member mounts to the string of the bow and a sighting member is interchangeably attached to the mounting member so as to accommodate different user preferences of sight ports. The mounting member has a channel that slidably receives the sighting member so as to provide a dove-tail joint that prevents the sighting member from vertical movement, yet allows for horizontal movement so as to allow the sighting member to slide sideways into the channel. The sighting member has an auxiliary through bore and a pimple that align with, and engage with, respectively, a pair of through bores in the mounting member. A screw extends freely through one through bore in the mounting member and threadably into the auxiliary through bore so as to maintain prevention of the sighting member from horizontal movement.
Abstract: A word-forming game for at least two players that includes twenty-eight aligned playing pieces. Each playing piece has front and rear indicia thereon that includes an uppercase letter and a corresponding lowercase letter therebelow. The front and rear indicia of a first and twenty-eight playing pieces is a “star,” while the front indicia of a second to a twenty-seventh playing piece are each respective letters of the alphabet in alphabetical order and the rear indicia of the second to the twenty-seventh playing pieces are each also respective letters of the alphabet, but in reverse alphabetical order. The method of playing the word-forming game includes making as many words as possible from the twenty-eight playing pieces, removing the associated letters therefrom each time a word is made. The last player to be able to make a word is the winner.
Abstract: A multi-terminal electrical safety switch that simultaneously closes or simultaneously opens electrical circuits connected thereto. The switch includes a terminal block and a current path completer/breaker. The terminal block has the electrical circuits connected thereto and the current path completer/breaker is replaceably engaged with the terminal block. The current path completer/breaker simultaneously completes current paths through the terminal block when engaged with the terminal block and thereby simultaneously closes the electrical circuits connected to the terminal block.
Abstract: A dentally retained intra-oral appliance worn at night for treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea and its fabrication process. The appliance maintains the patient's mandible in an anterior, protruded position to prevent obstruction of the pharyngeal airway. The appliance allows a limited degree of lateral movement of the mandible relative to the upper jaw in the protruded position to prevent aggravation of the patient's temporomandibular joint and associated muscles and ligaments. The appliance includes a lower bite block conforming to the patient's mandibular dentition, an upper bite block conforming to the patient's maxillary dentition, and a hinge connecting the upper bite block to the lower bite block. The upper bite block and the lower bite block are thin walled polyamide eliminating the need for dental wires to maintain them to the mandibular detention and the maxillary dentition and the problems associated therewith.
Abstract: A truck for preventing damage thereto when attached to a skate board and negotiating and contacting a curb. A body attaches to the skate board and an axle extends rotatably through the body and terminates in a pair of wheels, respectively. A roller is rotatably positioned in the body and has the axle extend rotatably therethrough so as to prevent damage to the axle when the truck negotiates and contacts the curb, by virtue of the roller contacting the curb and rotating relative to the axle as the truck negotiates the curb.
Abstract: An improved method for reading and writing lines containing words formed from letters. The method includes the steps of writing all odd numbered lines from left to right, writing all the words of the odd numbered lines from left to right, writing all the letters forming all the words of the odd numbered lines from left to right, positioning all the letters of each word of the odd numbered lines from left to right, writing all even numbered lines from right to left, writing all the words of the even numbered lines from right to left, writing all the letters forming all the words of the even numbered lines from left to right, positioning all the letters of each word of the even numbered lines from left to right, reading all the odd numbered lines from left to right, and reading all the even numbered lines from right to left.
Abstract: A device for supporting a camera. The device includes a cushion, a strap, and apparatus. The cushion has a pocket disposed on the upper surface thereof, at one corner thereof. The upper surface of the strap has a first portion of hook and loop fasteners thereon that are disposed on the pair of free terminal ends of the strap. The lower surface of the strap has a second portion of hook and loop fasteners thereon that are disposed on the pair of free terminal ends of the strap. The second portion of hook and loop fasteners on one free terminal end of the strap releasably mates with the first portion of hook and loop fasteners on the other free terminal end of the strap so as to allow either free terminal end of the strap to overlap and engage the other free terminal end of the strap.
