  • Patent number: 6082475
Abstract: A robotic leg for traversing a path similar to that of a human leg during walking on a floor. The leg includes a housing, a wheel, a rail, a slide shaft, a follower, and a leg. The leg takes a step by rotating a shaft, causing the wheel to rotate, causing the slide shaft to pivotally move with the wheel, causing the slide shaft to slide down the follower, causing a plurality of outer roller bearings and an inner roller bearing to roll along a convex periphery of the rail, causing the follower to move along the convex periphery, causing a hip end of the leg to pivot forwardly about an inner roller pin, and causing an uppermost pair of flat rods of the leg to pivot forwardly about their midpoints.

  • Patent number: 6079350
Abstract: A device for attracting attention having an opened position and a closed position, and includes a pole and a flag extending from the pole. The pole has an extended position for holding in a hand and a retracted position for storage. The pole includes a plurality of tubular telescoping portions, a top cap that threadably engages the top of an upper portion of the plurality of tubular telescoping portions and which allows for selective closing of the upper portion when the pole is used to store valuables therein, and a bottom cap that threadably engages the bottom of a lower portion of the plurality of tubular telescoping portions and which allows for selective closing of the lower portion when the pole is used to store valuables therein. A substrate of the flag is elongated, and originates at the upper portion of the plurality of tubular telescoping portions and terminates in a pair of converging edges that join at a free convex tip.

  • Patent number: 6070899
Abstract: A self-retracting cart for use in the cargo bay of a sport utility vehicle. When a pair of front wheels are caused to roll on and into the cargo bay by the self-retracting cart for use in the cargo bay of a sport utility vehicle being pushed therein, a push plate is caused to press against the rear edge of the cargo bay and traverse rearwardly causing a pair of arms to traverse rearwardly and cause a pair of spreader brackets to fold which causes a pair of front struts to pivot upwardly against a bottom wall of the basket and retract a pair of intermediate wheels against the pair of side walls of the basket and out of the way and thereby retracting the front wheel assembly.

  • Patent number: 6056235
Abstract: A refillable dispenser for replacing a standard roll of toilet tissue on a standard pre-existing roll-type toilet-tissue holder with a roll or selectively dispensable pre-moistened wipes replaceably contained therein so as to allow the roll of selectively dispensable pre-moistened wipes to be readily available in virtually any bathroom and ensure its reliable and regular use instead of the standard roll of toilet tissue. The dispenser includes a hollow housing for containing the roll of selectively dispensable pre-moistened wipes, and a core that passes freely through the core of the roll of selectively dispensable pre-moistened wipes for rotative motion therebetween and for non-rotatively receiving the spindle of the standard pre-existing roll-type toilet-tissue holder. The core is hollow and extends axially, concentrically, and completely through, the housing.

  • Patent number: 6056133
Abstract: A combination display device and storage rack component that is made of a transparent plastic so as to allow complete visibility of a CD jewel box housed therein and is either hung on a vertical wall or rested inclined on a horizontal surface. The component includes a base, a pair of side walls, a hanging apparatus, a resting apparatus, and a stacking and interlocking apparatus. The pair of side walls extend upwardly from the base. The hanging apparatus is for hanging the combination display device and storage rack component on the vertical wall. The resting apparatus is for supporting the combination display device and storage rack component inclined on the horizontal surface. The stacking and interlocking apparatus is for stacking and interlocking a plurality of the combination display device and storage rack components in a staggered arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6029674
Abstract: A device for attaching a false eyelash with an original adhesive thereon to an eyelid when the original adhesive thereon has lost its adhesion. The device includes a core and an adhesive coating that surrounds the core so as to form an attaching element. The adhesive coating attaches the core along the false eyelash and also allows the false eyelash to then be attached to the eyelid. The device further includes, a primary substrate, a secondary substrate disposed on the primary substrate and has a plurality of the attaching elements spaced longitudinally therealong and held releasibly thereon by the adhesive coating of each attaching element, a plurality of release sheet covers, each of which covers and protects an associated attaching element, prior to use, and is held releasibly thereon by the adhesive coating of the associated attaching element, and at least one pair of false eyelashes disposed on the primary substrate.

  • Patent number: 5738401
Abstract: A detachable bag-carrying handgrip device for hand carrying a shopping bag by its handles which due to the wide distribution of the carried weight over the fingers of the carrying hand is more comfortable to use than previous such devices. The hand grip comprises a flexible outer casing with two flexible edges for insertion of the carrying straps of the grocery bag to be carried. Upon insertion of the carrying straps, the carrying straps settle into a rigid channel which is open at the top and which provides the rigidity for a handgrip which is to be used to carry heavy shopping bags or packages for long distances. Due to this construction of the hand-grip, it remains with the straps of the carried bag even when the bag is set down.

The hollow water faucet body has an interior space and a spout from which water can exit. The water valve assembly is disposed in the hollow water faucet housing and has a distal end that extends outwardly therefrom. The water valve further has a closed position in which water does not exit the spout of the hollow water faucet body and an open position in which water exits the spout of the hollow water faucet body. The knob is disposed on the distal end of the water valve and is rotatable by a hand of user for moving the water valve assembly through the closed position of the water valve assembly and the open position of the water valve assembly.

  • Patent number: 5547529
Abstract: The invention is a false eyelash system, for producing unknotted clusters of false eyelashes from long fibers. A plurality of long fibers are knotted around a main string with a preliminary knot. The long fibers are trimmed a distance away from the main string that corresponds to a desired eyelash length. Cement is applied to the preliminary knot and discernible distance therefrom to form a cement clot. The preliminary knot is removed by cutting through the cement clot to form unknotted clusters of false eyelashes.
