The die includes a core and a skin disposed on the core. The core has a shape that is a regular octahedron with eight faces that are congruent equilateral triangles which intersect each other at their edges which intersect each other at their vertices. The skin includes eight equilateral triangular pyramids, each of which has a base that is triangular, three lateral faces that are triangular and meet in a common vertex and intersect each other at three lateral edges. The base of each pyramid of the skin is disposed on, and is congruent with, a respective face of the core, with a respective pyramid extending outwardly therefrom. A lateral face of a pyramid of the skin and a lateral face of an adjacent pyramid of the skin, which share a common edge of a respective face of the core, together define a set, with the skin having a total of twelve sets thereon.

Abstract: A collar for wearing by a cat and for warning a bird of the presence of the cat that includes a strap for wearing around the neck of the cat, and an electric device disposed on the strap. An electronic circuit of the electric device includes first, second, third, and fourth pairs of dip switches, a speaker, a volume control in electrical communication with the speaker, a frequency generator in electrical communication with the volume control through an electronic switch and the first pair of dip switches. The first pair of dip switches adjust the frequency of the carrier wave generated by the frequency generator. The electronic circuit further includes a microprocessor that processes input from the second, third, and fourth pairs of dip switches and is in electrical communication with the electronic switch, and the second, third, and fourth pairs of dip switches. The electronic circuit further includes a light level detector in electrical communication with the microprocessor through a light detector switch.

Abstract: An apparatus for rebounding balls that includes a frame and a net structure within the frame, and has an upright position, a rear down position, and a front down position so as to allow the apparatus to be used in a variety of positions. The frame is unitary and tubular and comprises a front section that is planar and vertically rearwardly inclined, and a rear section that has an upper portion diverging downwardly rearwardly from the front section of the frame and forms an acute angle therebetween and a lower portion diverging downwardly rearwardly from the upper portion of the rear section of the frame. Abstract: A device for attaching to a pet and capturing feces and urine therefrom that includes an adjustable collar, an adjustable harness, a feces receptacle, and a urine receptacle. The feces receptacle is detachably mounted to the adjustable harness and is disposed below and captures the feces from the anus of the pet. Abstract: An exhaust valve for threading into a street elbow threaded into an exhaust port of a conventional steam radiator that includes a base portion, a cap portion supported by the base portion, and a bimetallic arm contained in the cap portion. The base portion has a ledge that provides a broad surface onto which condensate in exhaust steam from the conventional steam radiator is attracted and deposited as it passes through the base portion so as to prevent the steam condensate from interfering with the exhaust steam from the conventional steam radiator. The base portion further has only one central throughbore that is coaxial with the bimetallic arm so as to provide a direct path for the exhaust steam from the conventional radiator without any bends that can produce obstructive eddy currents.
