Abstract: A method for automatically evaluating the displayed value comprises the steps of receiving data for display, exhibiting a display indication of the data on a light emitting diode display area substantially surrounded by a variable color background area, comparing the value of the data with a limit, and controlling color of the background area in accordance with the result of the comparison. A display device for automatically evaluating the displayed value includes a light emitting diode display area substantially surrounded by a variable color background area and a device for receiving data for display and for exhibiting them on the display area. A comparator compares the value of the data with a limit and accordingly develops a comparison signal which is used to control the color of the background area to automatically indicate the significance of the displayed data.
Abstract: A method and a device for supplying powder to a scattering device, comprising a device for producing negative pressure, a device for producing excess pressure, a powder container for receiving a powder reserve, and a separating device which is located inside the powder container and which separates a quantity of the powder reserve from the remainder in the powder container. The excess pressure device is connected to an air supply device. When the excess pressure device allows the air to strike the quantity of powder which has been separated, the powder forms swirls. The negative pressure device is connected to the powder container in such a way that the swirling powder is conveyed out of the powder container and to the scattering device by the negative pressure.
Abstract: A new and improved workstation including a base member, a first vertical mast mounted with the base member and extending upwardly therefrom, a second vertical mast disposed about the first vertical mast for vertical movement with respect thereto, a monitor shelf with the second vertical mast for movement therewith, a third vertical mast disposed about the second vertical mast for movement therewith, a work surface with the third vertical mast for movement therewith, and computing structure integrally mounted therewith.
Abstract: A closure member for a pressure vessel, the closure member including a flange member secured with the pressure vessel, a pressure vessel door supported by the pressure vessel, a ring assembly mounted with the flange member for engaging the pressure vessel door as a result of selective rotational movement of the ring assembly from an unlocked position to a locked position by the radially contracting cooperative movement of engaging members into engagement with the pressure vessel door as a result of such rotational movement.
Abstract: A new and improved workstation including a base member, a first vertical mast mounted with the base member and extending upwardly therefrom, a second vertical mast disposed about the first vertical mast for vertical movement with respect thereto, a monitor shelf with the second vertical mast for movement therewith, a third vertical mast disposed about the second vertical mast for movement therewith, and a work surface with the third vertical mast for movement therewith.
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling the movement of an electronic image on a video display includes a base member, a seat for an operator, a support assembly for mounting the seat on the base member in facing relation to the video display, such that the seat can be tilted relative to the base member. Two handles project upwardly from the base member, adjacent respective opposed sides of the seat for being grasped by the operator in the seat to impart tilting movement thereto by shifting the weight of the operator in a direction corresponding to a desired directional movement of the image. A plurality of electrical switches are provided for sensing the tilting movement of the seat and for generating an electrical signal indicative thereof. Video game control circuitry is responsive to the discrete electrical signal for moving the electronic image in response to the tilting movement of the seat.

Abstract: A target locator having a group of uniquely configured, high contrast elements is displayed adjacent one or more target bar codes for increasing the probability of acquiring a target bar code of interest and extending the range at which a target bar code of interest can be acquired and read. The high contrast locator elements are arranged in a pattern which is unlikely to occur in nature, and the width and spacing of the target locator elements are substantially greater than the comparable bar width and spacing of elements within the target bar code of interest. A comparison of grey scale pixel values is used to validate whether a candidate bar code locator actually corresponds with reference target locator data stored in memory. When the card is displayed adjacent a second bar code of interest, the two bar codes of interest can be scanned within the same field of view.
Abstract: A cutting tool guide assembly for guiding a cutting tool over a workpiece for making a precise cut on the workpiece, including an elongate rail member, a trolley mounted for movement along the length of the rail member with the trolley supporting the cutting tool for cutting operations on the workpiece, and a securing member fixed to the rail member for securing the rail member with the workpiece and a method for using same.
