  • Patent number: 6582741
Abstract: A device is particularly well suited for introducing a continuous length of food stuffing into an elongated food product. The device uses a tube having opposite, open ends and an inner wall defining a longitudinal passage extending between such opposite ends. The length of foodstuffing is received in this longitudinal passage. The tube is inserted into the food product being stuffed, and a pointed cap on the end of the tube guides it through the food product. A ram is used in conjunction with the tube to keep the foodstuffing material in substantial registration with the ends of the food product and to assist in withdrawing the tube after the foodstuffing has been deposited in the food product. An optional parallel knife assembly is used to create an incision extending through the food product to ease the subsequent insertion of the foodstuffing therein.

  • Patent number: 6578453
Abstract: An inside diameter machining method for machining inside a workpiece uses a turning tool utilized within a main body in the shape of a bar with a hook-shaped top end portion which has a cutting portion. When the machining diameter of the portion to be machined inside the workpiece is bigger than the workpiece's tool insertion hole, the workpiece interferes with the tool when the turning tool's top end portion is moved linearly. To overcome the interference, moving the turning tool's top end portion in two axial directions orthogonal to each other and in a rotational direction with a third axial direction orthogonal to the other two axial directions as its center permits the top end portion to be inserted into the tool insertion hole. The turning tool's cutting portion is then positioned at the portion to be machined inside the workpiece. Turning machining subsequently can be commenced.

  • Patent number: 6572049
Abstract: An applicator stores a boxer's hand wrap substantially without folds, creases, or wrinkles, all of which are especially severe if the hand wrap is relatively stiff with dried perspiration. By storing the hand wrap in a smooth, rolled configuration, it can be readily reapplied in a similarly smooth, non-wrinkled manner, as is optimal for boxing purposes. The applicator has a spool and outwardly extending spindles. The spool is non-rotatable relative to the spindle, permitting the wrap to be appropriately tensioned while it is being applied to the boxer's hand. The applicator has deodorant which permeates the wrap when it is stored on a receiving surface of the spool.

  • Patent number: 6532849
Abstract: A complex tool has a main body and a turning tool provided at an outer periphery portion of the main body. The turning tool is capable of machining on a rotating workpiece without rotating itself. An insert installed on the turning tool has a top end which contacts a workpiece by projecting a predetermined amount outside the main body's outer peripheral face. It also projects a predetermined amount from a top end portion of the main body in a direction of an axial center of the tool. The complex tool also has a rotating tool for machining by rotating itself. The rotating tool accomplishes machining corresponding to an axial center of the main body.

  • Patent number: 6501462
Abstract: An input control device (21, 121, 221) includes a touchpad (25, 125, 225) located near an associated keyboard (23, 123) for use with a computer-related apparatus (120). The touchpad (25, 125, 225) is positioned so that it can be reached by the user's thumbs (40) during normal operation of the associated keyboard (23, 123). The location of the touchpad (25, 125, 225) is such that a ridge (39, 139) protruding near the edge of the touchpad (25, 125, 225) is encountered by the user's thumbs (40) both when moved inadvertently during normal typing operations and when intentionally moved toward the touchpad (25, 125, 225). In this way, the ridge (39, 139) signals the boundary with the touchpad (25, 125, 225) so that the user can proceed to activate it if desired, or can avoid activating it if not desired.
