  • Patent number: 7007309
Abstract: An improved dance tight and dance tight stocking. In accordance with one embodiment, the dance tight includes a leg portion in the form of a tubular fabric member terminating in a foot portion. The foot portion includes an open forefoot collar bordered by an elastic finished edge and through which a wearer's toes protrude when the dance tight stock is worn. An open hindfoot collar is disposed on the foot portion proximally with respect to the forefoot collar such that a portion of the rear heel surface of the wearer's foot is exposed therethrough. The dance tight stocking further includes an instep collar defining an elastically bounded open mouth through the leg portion in substantial longitudinal alignment between the forefoot collar and the hindfoot collar such that forefoot and hindfoot retention bands are formed therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6733038
Abstract: A protective cover having a non-slip surface for mounting to a motorcycle frame area is shaped to conform to the motorcycle frame area and includes an interior surface formed from rubber and an exterior surface formed from an epoxy mixture to which a granulated material is applied for providing the non-slip surface. The protective cover has a carbon fiber layer formed between the interior surface and the exterior surface, and the carbon fiber layer is affixed to the interior surface and the exterior surface by epoxy resin material. Holes are formed through the interior surface, the exterior surface, and the carbon fiber layer for inserting fasteners therethrough to mount the protective cover to the motorcycle frame area, and, when the protective cover is mounted to the motorcycle frame area, the interior surface is adjacent to the motorcycle frame area to prevent the protective cover from scratching the motorcycle frame area.

  • Patent number: 6669712
Abstract: A nasal cannula support device includes a generally L-shaped strut having a long leg and a short leg. The long leg of the device generally conforms to the ridge pole of the nose and is in an angular relationship with the short leg, allowing the short leg to pass around and under the tip of a user's nose. In one embodiment, the short leg includes a curved portion that secures and positions the nasal delivery stubs of an oxygen delivery barrel within a user's nostrils. In other embodiments, a cup-like area of the strut, between the long and short leg, provides finger-like projections that provide similar retention and positioning of the delivery barrel and stubs. The strut may be secured to the user's nose by an adhesive backing, tape, or forming the device to conform, closely, to the user's external nasal contour.

  • Patent number: 6666713
Abstract: A gang bus apparatus for rigidly coupling plug receptacles within a receptacle enclosure. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, a gang bus apparatus includes at least two discrete plug receptacle modules. Each of the plug receptacle modules includes a front surface disposed substantially co-planar with an opening of a module enclosure, the front surface including electromechanical plug reception means for mating with an electrical plug. Each of the plug receptacle modules further includes an opposing rear surface having at least one electromechanical contact point. A rigid, substantially flat conductive bar is disposed along the rear surfaces of the at least two plug receptacles with the conductive bar coupled to each of the electromechanical contact points to simultaneously provide a rigid structural connection between the plug receptacles and provide a common electrical node between the electromechanical contact points.

  • Patent number: 6217773
Abstract: A desalinator is disclosed for removing dissolved solids from sea water or brackish water. The desalinator (10) comprising a casing (12) into which a pump (14) driven by a motor (16) pumps sea water or brackish water under pressure. A desalination cartridge (76) within the casing (12) includes semi-permeable material which acts as a reverse osmosis membrane and through which permeate is forced to separate it from the sea water or brackish water. The solids dissolved in the brackish water or sea water are retained in the salt retention passages of the cartridge (76). Three electrical coils (94, 96 and 98) encircle the cartridge (76) and are embedded in the walls of the casing (12). The coils are supplied with current from a supply (112) which is preferably a 50 Hertz, 380 Volt three phase supply. The coils are also connected by lines (108) to an adjustable frequency AC drive (110) which is in turn connected to the motor (16).
