  • Patent number: 7720524
Abstract: A method and system of detecting a disease state in a targeted organ is described using nuclear medicine techniques. In preferred embodiments, a radiotracer with specific uptake for diseased portions of the targeted organ is administered to a patient. A gamma ray counter with at least one gamma ray detector is used to count gamma rays emitted by the radiotracer. By placing the gamma ray detector over the location of the targeted organ, the gamma ray counter can provide a quick yes or no answer on whether the disease state exists in the targeted organ.

  • Patent number: 7672897
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, a method and system of communal purchasing is disclosed. The preferred embodiments describe a community purchase model where a product can be purchased a particular price only if enough buyers are willing to purchase at that price. The preferred embodiments pool together the collective buys for a product to get a better price than if an individual buyer was to purchase the product by himself/herself. Therefore, a fixed “discount” price is used to collect a number of buys, wherein the number of buys is recorded in a specific product record and the transaction to purchase the product is consummated if the number of buys for the product reaches a minimum number of buys. Moreover, further embodiments obtain a pre-payment or a guarantee for payment for the product while collecting buys for the product.

  • Patent number: 6301346
Abstract: Hold/off Alert System helps minimize the loss of time when people are put on hold. The invention can alert callers audibly when they are released from a hold state. The said system and its function are integrated to the existing phones, requiring some modifications to both calling phones and called phones. Its working components include, but not limited to, a tone detector circuit, the HAS button, the speech network, the buzzer, its driver, the MPU, and the HAS lamp for the calling phone; and the hold button, the hold-release button, the CPU, and the DTMF dialer for the called phone. The pressing of the hold or the hold-release buttons generates DTMF tone signals in the called phone which are transmitted to the calling phone to trigger a sound alert.
