Abstract: The present invention discloses an intelligent pest-killing lamp that attracts, disorients, and ideally kills plant pests, soil insects and sanitary insects, protecting plants and crops. The invention generates light at wavelengths between about 360 nm and about 420 nm with about 365 nm being preferred. The invention can also generates combinations of four colors of light. The light pulses at frequencies ranging from about 250 to about 500 hz, disorienting pests. The invention comprises a screw lamp base, an upper cover, a middle cover, a lamp and a control circuit board. The control circuit board comprises a controller that controls the light pulse frequency and an oscillator that drives the lamp.
Abstract: A golfing training system consists of a trace mat made of non-resilient fiber material that shows the path of a golf club head brushed across it. The trace mat is mounted in a rectangular rubber frame with a top surface of artificial grass. Two string spools are mounted under the trace mat. A string alignment plate can be set to a training angle, then the trace mat is put in place over the alignment plate. Two alignment strings can be laid out. Then the player takes his swing, recording the club head path on the trace mat in relation to his two alignment strings.
Abstract: A working pontoon raft has frame that supports a plurality of high speed evaporator fans. An alternative design uses a skid to support the same high speed evaporator fans. An on board pump draws wastewater from under the raft or via a hose from the pond to the skid and feeds it to the fans. Large amounts of wastewater from industrial reservoirs, such as oil drilling reservoirs, are evaporated into the air in an environmentally friendly manner Power is supplied to the raft via hydraulic lines. A land base generator supplies the hydraulic power. The entire system fits on a custom trailer.
Abstract: A fisherman can clip a left reading glass frame to the left side of his visor. He can clip a right reading glass frame to the right side of his visor. He can bend the flex arm connected to the clip to store each lens above the visor in a passive mode. When reading glass focus is needed, perhaps to tie the fly onto the leader, he bends each frame half down in front of his eye and connects the two halves to provide a pair of reading glasses.
Abstract: A portable in-ear audio monitor system for a musician having reduced and simplified overall parts. The in-ear audio system providing the musician with time saving setup and teardown instrumentation for a performance. The invention provides an improved method and apparatus to allow a musician precise monitoring, more movement about stage, reduction in cables needed and improved simplicity of pre-performance setup of equipment. It eliminates the need for a hip pack, distribution box and wedge speaker providing a single cable system having a small and simple splitter jack for the headset and the instrument. Direct ‘in-ear’ monitoring is provided via a monitor box, having line level or speaker level input signals from a sound monitor, and feeding a headphone without using a wired or wireless hip pack. Monitor signal radio interference and noise is greatly reduced. Headset volume control is provided along with an optional reverb and/or sound equalizer.
Abstract: A method and apparatus whereby a two-dimensional touchpad control for selecting color is implemented via a touch sensitive surface with a graphical attachment on its surface to select both an intensity and a color. The graphical attachment having two regions, one region being a rectangular shape to select the intensity via a Y-axis and the other being a two dimensional X/Y-axis control surface with color Hue on one axis and color Saturation on the other axis. Software running in a control device monitors touchpad regions for user inputs and converts the raw selected parameters on the touchpad into the Hue, Saturation and Intensity information, used in the preferred embodiment to control light fixture color and intensity.
Abstract: A roof-raking device is designed to safely and efficiently remove pine straw and leaf debris from roofsof houses. When attached to a lightweight telescopic or other long pole this device can be used by a person standing at ground level or on a ladder, eliminating the risk of climbing and walking on a pitched roof. Formed of a flexible, resilient material our the rake-head is a one-piece injection molded device comprising a plurality of deeply curved, reinforced tines, a central housing support structure and a female flange fitting. The tines are of varying length, width, thickness and curve radius. When slight downward hand pressure is applied to the upper surface of a connecting pole the flexible self-adjusting tines form themselves evenly to any horizontal pitched roof surface, and when applied to a V-shaped roof angle where two roof planes meet, the tines flex and form themselves to both roof planes simultaneously.
