Abstract: A guarding system of a credit card against unauthorized use includes one or more sets of letter-and-number series composed of letters and numbers stored in a credit card, and the same letter-and-number series as those of the credit card are set up in the data archives of the computer of a credit card issuing bank. The computer of the credit card issuing bank checks whether or not the letter-and-number series of the credit card coincide with those in its archives and deciding whether to allow the trading finished or not. Besides, the computer of the credit card issuing bank can automatically renew the letter-and-number series of the credit card every time after it is finished in trading. Then, these renewed data are checked and stored in the credit card and in the archives of the computer, surely preventing the credit card from copied and used by illegally and fraudulently.
Abstract: A steam grill includes a body, an upper lid, a water-storing member positioned on the upper lid, a beating section provided in the interior of the body, a dripping controller, and a grilling section under the heating section. The dripping controller is positioned within the water-storing member and controls the water volume dropping in the heating section. The heating section has a plurality of heating tubes for heating up water into steam to be supplied in the grilled section to moisten the food put on a grill plate therein to the proper degree so that the grilled food may have proper moisture and texture.
Abstract: A riding burnishing machine (10) includes a battery pack positioned as low as possible in the chassis (12) between the front and rear wheels (14, 15) and removable in a horizontal movement direction while supported by the bottom by a pallet jack. A steering system includes steering shafts (58, 76) which are rotatable together while allowing relative pivotable movement therebetween and which are rotatably connected to the spindle (38) of the steerable rear wheels (15) through a jack shaft (44). The burnishing head is raised and lowered relative to the floor surface by an electric actuator (104) which pivots a linkage (92) through a connection allowing floating travel. The pressure which the treating member (16) engages the floor surface is controlled in response to the current level of the electric motor (86) which rotates the treating member (16).
Abstract: The present invention relates a jack assembly that may be lifted rapidly. A secondary shaft is mounted in a lifting column, and has a distal end screwed into an axial hole in the base. The main oil path is provided with a lower ball and an upper ball, and has a first oil hole connected to the oil hole of the secondary shaft, and a second oil hole connected to the inner oil chamber. The hydraulic oil pushes away the lower ball to flow through the first oil hole into the secondary shaft, so that the lifting column that has not worked may be lifted rapidly. The lifting column may work to increase the pressure of the hydraulic oil which flows through the second oil hole into the inner oil chamber, so that the lifting column may have a sufficient lifting force to lift an object.
Abstract: An adaptor for an optical cable terminal consists of an outer tube that contains an interior optical cable and is able to be used with a toslink socket provided in a household appliance, a clip contained in the outer tube, and an inner tube contained also in the outer tube. If a socket provided in a household appliance is for a 3.5 &PHgr; optical cable terminal, the terminal can be inserted into the socket directly. However, if the socket is a toslink type, the terminal can be inserted into a central channel of the inner tube and then the adaptor can be inserted into the toslink. Therefore, with the adaptor of the invention, the 3.5 &PHgr; terminal of an optical cable is able to be used with not only a 3.5 &PHgr; socket but also with a toslink socket provided in a household appliance.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tread and handrail combination structure of a staircase, including a support post, multiple helically laminated treads mounted on the support post, and multiple juxtaposed handrails. Each tread has an outer side provided with multiple combination holes, so that two ends of each handrail may pass through the combination holes to be fixed on the tread. Each tread has a bottom face provided with a support tube aligned with one combination hole. One end of each handrail is screwed on the tread, and the other end of each handrail is extended through the combination hole and the support tube of the mating tread, and through the combination hole of a next tread, so that any two adjacent treads may be combined rigidly and stably, without deformation.
Abstract: An article-positioning board includes a board body provided on top surface with a plurality of through holes respectively having a comparatively large diameter at the bottom side and a relatively small diameter on the topside for receiving a same-shaped insert member. Each insert member has a recess formed in an upper portion, and each recess has a holding space extending outward oppositely in one inner side for receiving the lateral rods of the clasp. Thus, when ropes (elastic or not) pass through and are fastened on the clasps preset in direction, non-plane articles of different shapes and sizes can duly be positioned firmly and quickly, no matter where they are placed on the board.
Abstract: A head of a wrench comprises a hole having a center and a radius. The head further includes a compartment communicated with the hole. A wall defining the compartment has a center of curvature and a radius of curvature. A ratio between the radius of curvature of the wall and the radius of the hole is equal to or greater than 0.5, but less than 1. A distance between the center of the hole and the center of curvature of the wall is selected to form a deeper compartment to thereby improve the torque-bearing capacity.
Abstract: An oil pressure device is disposed on a hoist frame. The hoist frame has an upper panel and a middle panel. An oil cylinder is disposed on the upper panel. The oil pressure device has a pneumatic pump having a lower cover and a pneumatic cylinder, a base seat disposed on the pneumatic cylinder, the lower cover disposed on a bottom of the pneumatic cylinder, an oil tank disposed on the base seat, and an oil pump connected to the base seat. A handle is connected to the oil pump. A connector is connected to the lower cover. An air pipe is connected to the connector. An air pressure valve is connected to the air pipe.
Abstract: A table assembly has a table plate, a pair of leg devices, and a plurality of fastening clamps. The table plate has two pairs of spaced recesses, and a plurality of grooves. Each leg device has a U-shaped rod, two posts, two first link bars, two second link bars, and two support plates. Each support plate is inserted into the corresponding recess, and is formed with two oblong holes aligned with the corresponding grooves Each of the fastening clamps has an oblong plate and two arm plates. The arm plates are extended through the corresponding oblong holes of the support plates and are inserted into the corresponding grooves of the table plate.
