Abstract: A carrier for a scuba tank or other cylindrical bottle comprises two cylindrical handles connected by a looped rope, the rope passing slidably through one of the handles. The scuba tank is supported by the ropes and carried by one handle looped through the rope. The handles may also be used to chock the tank against rolling in a vehicle, by placing the tank next to one handle and sliding the other handle up against the tank.
Abstract: An aircraft ground power unit (GPU) is equipped with a device that warns personnel with a flashing light and a siren when the unsafe condition exists of the GPU being connected to both the tug and the aircraft at the same time. Similar devices can be used on other towed vehicles that can cause damage to vehicles or structures if towed away while still attached to the vehicle or structure.
Abstract: A personal hygiene cleansing apparatus for use on the toilet is connected to hot and cold water supply lines in a bathroom. The water flows from these lines to a manually-controlled mixer for temperature control and then delivered to a hand-held spray gun. The apparatus may be built in to a wall or vanity, or it may be installed in a case for portability. Optionally, the apparatus comprises a soap tank which mixes soap with a portion of the incoming water for controlled application with the spray gun.
Abstract: A tool for adjusting extremely tight lug nuts, such as often found on tractor-trailer trucks, consists of a socket wrench pulled by a screw and anchored against another lug nut coaxial to the one being adjusted. A hand crank turns the screw, which in turn pulls the handle of the socket wrench toward the anchor yielding very high torque multiplication. The tool is elongated and shaped to permit its use in the tight space found in the annular recess surrounding the hubs of most truck wheels.
Abstract: Bodies for hook lift shuttles and other roll-off loaders are fitted with trailer towing hitches, such as fifth wheels and hitch balls, so that when one of these bodies is loaded onto a shuttle or loader, the shuttle or loader can be used temporarily as a tractor for a trailer. Means are provided for connecting truck utilities such as brake air and electricity to the invention and thence to a trailer.
Abstract: The volume capacity of a hook lift or roll-off truck container body is increased temporarily by vertical extension of the container body's walls and rear door. The extension includes three walls and another door which are firmly attached to the top edges of the container body's walls and doors. The extension is conveniently secured to the body and the doors of the body and the extension open and latch in concert.
