  • Patent number: 8215476
Abstract: Described is a correlator for introducing vehicle tires into a conveyor of a vehicle washing system. The correlator includes a frame with two laterally and freely rotatable belts. A set of angled curb rails resides over one of the belts to direct the vehicle's tires into a set of guide rails. As a roller pushes the rear tire of the vehicle onto the belts, the angled curb rails provide a lateral force to the tires. Because the belts are free-rolling, they are capable of rotating to move the tire laterally and shift the position of the vehicle to align the vehicle with the conveyor.

  • Patent number: 8217611
Abstract: An automated refrigerator opener is described. The automated refrigerator opener includes a door seal separator (e.g., solenoid) for breaking a door seal between a refrigerator door and a refrigerator door casing. Also included is a powered door opener (e.g., linear actuator) for attaching with a refrigerator door and automatically opening the refrigerator door after the door seal is broken. A control device is communicatively connected with both the door seal separator and the powered door opener. The control device is operable for receiving an actuation command from a user and, thereafter, activates the door seal separator to break the door seal and cause the powered door opener to open the refrigerator door. Alternatively, if the door is already open, the control device is operable for causing the powered door opener to pull the door closed.

  • Patent number: 8146528
Abstract: Described is manual prescription use recording device. The device includes a lid for connection with a prescription container. A slider is rotatably connected with the lid such that the slider is rotatable in the X-axis around the lid to reveal markings that are indicative of at least one of a time and date. A second slider can also be included to reveal additional time and date markings. Finally, a thumb wheel can be included that is rotatable in the Y-axis to reveal additional markings. Protrusions and corresponding deviations are included in the lid and sliders so that they can be maintained in a desired position. Thus, the present invention allows a user to log the time and date the medication was last taken by using rotary dials placed on or in the lid of the prescription bottle.

  • Patent number: 8142295
Abstract: Described is a levitating disk for performing illusions of levitation. The disk includes a disk-shaped housing, with a circuit board, microprocessor, and batteries encased within the housing. A series of LEDs are connected with the housing and are activated via a centrifugal force switch. The circuit board and batteries are positioned within the housing such that they distribute the weight evenly from a central axis toward the periphery of the housing. A micro-thread is included for attaching with the disk. Thus, in operation, a user can hang the disk with the micro-thread and spin the disk about the central axis to cause the lights to illuminate and cause the disk to appear as if it is levitating.

  • Patent number: 8135260
Abstract: Described is a video generation system that allows a user to be filmed and merged into a premade video sequence. The system is configured to receive a video having a plurality of characters, each character having a corresponding audio track. A user can remove one of characters and corresponding audio track from the video, leaving remaining characters and remaining audio track. The video with the remaining characters and remaining audio track is then played on a display. Using a sensor and microphone, a user video image and corresponding user audio track is received. The user video image and user audio track is recorded as it is received while the video with remaining characters and corresponding audio track is played on the display. Thus, once merged, the user video image and user audio track can be played along with the video with the remaining characters and the remaining audio track.

  • Patent number: 8097155
Abstract: An above ground water clarifier is described. The clarifier includes a spray system for receiving water from an external system and disposing the water onto a filter tray rack. A first recovery chamber is positioned below the filter tray rack for receiving filtered water that is gravity fed through the filter tray rack. A second recovery chamber is positioned adjacent to and fluidly connected with the first recovery chamber. The first and second recovery chambers are formed to filter out solids and/or oils before passing the water to a sump chamber and/or the sewer. The sump chamber includes a plurality of tiered pumps for pumping the water back to the external system.

  • Patent number: 7967689
Abstract: A miniature spooling apparatus is described. The miniature spooling apparatus includes a housing having a miniature motor attached within the housing. The miniature motor has a shaft extending therefrom, with a mechanically powered spool attached with the shaft. A magnet is connected with the shaft and/or the spool. An integrated circuit is connected with the motor to operate the motor. Additionally, a magnetic reed switch is connected with the integrated circuit such that as a user pulls the thread and manually rotates the item, the magnet rotates to actuate the magnetic reed switch which is connected with the integrated circuit, thereby initiating the motor to start winding the thread around the spool. When the spool is still for a predetermined amount of time, the integrated circuit is configured to turn off the motor. Additionally, the miniature spooling apparatus is housed in an item, such as a pen, to conceal the apparatus.

Abstract: A concealable electric shock device is described. The concealable electric shock device includes a housing that allows a user to affix the device against the user's body to “electrify” the user. The device is formed to accommodate a DC power source (e.g., 12 volt battery) and convert the DC power to a high-voltage AC power. Both a primary on/off switch and a secondary on/off switch (e.g., magnetic reed switch) are included to allow a user to selectively become electrified. Additionally, a user-side electrical contact is attached with the housing to provide AC power directly to a user's body. A flash system (e.g., flash bulb) is also included to allow a user to selectively generate a flash effect. Finally, a messaging system (e.g., vibrator motor) is included to allow a user's assistant to discreetly provide messages to the user, thereby providing the illusion of mentalism.
