  • Patent number: 8353040
Abstract: Method for the automatic generation of malware signatures from computer files. A common function library (CFL) created, wherein the CFL contains any functions identified as a part of the standard computer language used to write computer files which are known as not containing malware. The functions of a computer file which does contain a malware are extracted and the CFL is updated with any new common functions if necessary, such that the remaining functions are all considered as candidates for generating the malware signature. The remaining functions are divided into clusters according to their location in the file and the optimal cluster for generating the malware signature is determined. One or more of the functions in the optimal cluster is selected randomly, as the malware signature.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel apparatus and method for mapping of urban regions. An apparatus includes the remote sensing equipment that is connected to a computer processor. The remote sensing equipment gathers imaging data about an urban region. The computer processor interprets the imaging data to generate a map of the urban region comprising representations that identify a first set of indicia representing physiographic characteristics, a second set of indicia representing different types of built forms, and a third set of indicia representing patterns of human activity associated with both the physiographic characteristics and the built forms. The map can also include a fourth set of indicia representing an intensity level that at least one of the other types of indicia occurs.

  • Patent number: 8312859
Abstract: An improved rotary engine system has two stationary buffer seals located at the two ends of the minor axis of a rotor housing that divide the rotor housing into two separate volumes. A first volume is an intake and compression volume and a second volume downstream to the first volume is an expansion and exhaust volume. A rotating combustion chamber flow control device (CCFC) is synchronized with a rotor, for receiving compressed fluid from the first volume, for receiving fuel injected by a fuel injector located within a corresponding CCFC, for igniting and burning an air-fuel mixture, to allow combustion products to expand in the second volume, and for transferring the combustion products to the second volume. In one embodiment, the CCFC is synchronized with two longitudinal shafts fitted at centers of first and second housings, respectively, in each of which are located a pair of side by side rotors.

  • Patent number: 8202018
Abstract: A blow-molded plastic female interconnection system has a receiving section and a locking section. The receiving section receives a male interconnect. The receiving section has a floor aperture shaped to allow the corresponding male interconnect be pushed into the locking section. The floor aperture can have various shapes depending on the shape of the male interconnect. Within the receiving section is a locking projection on the receiving section's back wall and the locking projection has a bottom section that defines a portion of the ceiling of the locking section which has no back wall. When the male interconnect is being pushed into the locking section, the locking projection deforms due to the locking sections no back wall. When the male interconnect is below the locking projection, the locking projection bottom section is positioned on the male interconnect to securely interconnect the male and female units.
