Abstract: A synchronous digital decoding circuit decodes Manchester-encoded data using a clock regenerating circuit which produces a decoding clock that is continuously adjusted in accordance with detected phase deviations in the received data signal. The Manchester-encoded data are transmitted with high-to-low and low-to-high transitions at the centers of the data bit cells. On the receiving end, a digital state machine, which is coupled to a timer/counter unit, detects whether a transition is on-time, early, or late in each bit cell as compared with the established decoding clock. If the transition is early or late, the state machine produces a correction signal which is used to correspondingly shorten or lengthen the clock count by a predetermined incremental amount. The adjustment of the clock counts on an on-going basis reduces or eliminates the phase deviation and prevents the accumulation of phase error over an extended length of time. Abstract: The disclosure is of a catheter assembly including a hollow T-shaped member having a patient end and a rear end which is blocked from the patient end by a wall. A catheter is adapted to be introduced through the rear end of the member into a patient and the rear end includes a sponge, located out of the airway of the patient by the wall but the wall includes means for opening the wall to let the catheter through it for introduction into the patient. The sponge cleans the catheter as it is withdrawn but mucus cannot be returned to the airway to the patient.
Abstract: A dual-purpose catheter for performing suction or oxygen feed on a patient including two cylindrical bodies rotatably coupled together and held together by a spring which is biased to hold the bodies in a first position with respect to each other but permits rotation to a second position. One body includes first and second tubes which can be coupled to a source of suction or a source of oxygen, and the other body includes means for receiving said tubes in a tight fit and tube means for coupling either suction or oxygen to the patient, depending on the rotation state of the two bodies with respect to each other. The program includes two portions each of which can be entered by a switch. Each portion of the program can be cycled through and as selected portions of the program are reached, a selected parameter can be set into the microprocessor as a permanent operating condition. Abstract: The disclosure is an eyeglass frame including a straight relatively rigid bar having a plurality of notches disposed along its length, and carrying a generally U-shaped nose piece having a tab adapted to be inserted in and locked in the central notch in the bar. The bar also carries a pair of circular lens holders having tabs for insertion in selected notches in the bar so that the spacing between the lens holders and the lenses carried thereby can be adjusted. Abstract: The radon removal system includes one or more pipes coupled to the source of radon gas beneath the basement floor in a building. The pipes are coupled through the side wall of the basement to a fan which draws the radon out of the basement and away through piping coupled to the fan housing. The fan has a DC motor which is current limited to improve its operation. In addition, a vacuum switch is provided in the fan housing to sense proper operation of the fan. The switch is coupled to a signal light at the power cord inside the basement to indicate when the fan is operating properly.

The first plate has an opening and a rectangular wall surrounding the opening and rising from its top surface. A second plate is provided having an opening and rectangular wall means surrounding the opening therein and secured to its lower surface. The second plate is coupled to the first plate by means of the two walls on the plates being adapted to form a tight mechanical fit with each other.The openings in the two plates are aligned with each other and this permits the electrical outlet to be removed from the outlet box, drawn through the aligned openings and secured to the second plate.
Abstract: A detachable cutting blade assembly includes an elongated handle having a rear end and a front end on which a cutting blade can be detachably supported and a blade-locking member, in the form of a wall, is secured to the top surface of the front end of the handle. A portion of the wall of the blade-locking member has lateral lips which give the wall a T-shaped cross section and this provides securement for a cutting blade. The lips of the blade-locking member are aligned with a hole in the handle and this permits the entire handle to be made with a two-part mold in a relatively inexpensive molding process.
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a first horizontal bar adapted to be coupled to a building column and a second horizontal bar is rotatably coupled to and beneath the first bar. A bracket which can be coupled to a screed is coupled to the second bar so that it can rotate with respect to the second bar and it can slide with respect to the second bar. The apparatus is pivotably mounted on opposite columns in an area where a concrete floor is to be leveled and the brackets are coupled to the ends of a screed which the operators wish to move up to the columns and then move around the columns, all the while smoothing and leveling the concrete.
