Abstract: In a multi-position window that has a window sash that is rotatable out of the window frame on at least two different axis on pivots which are changed by a drive train on the sash moving to positions, the improvement includes one of a spring driven bolt and a strike on the window sash being moved by the drive train into alignment and engagement with the other on the window frame and with a hole for a tool to retract the bolt from the strike.

Abstract: A seal wall having a weakened annular ring for removing a section of the seal wall to form an annular seal lip for sealing around a pipe of predetermined diameter, has a weakened watertight portion of the wall configured for insertion of a tool through the wall, spaced from the weakened annular ring and connected to the weakened annular ring by a weakened line.
Abstract: A septic tank filter system comprises a mounting member adapted for attachment to an interior surface of a septic system tank, at least one open-ended, cylindrical filter housing fixed to the mounting member, and a hollow foraminated filter nested in each filter housing. The filter has a first conduit providing a fluid flow connection between the filter interior and an outlet port in the filter housing. Liquid sewage is filtered during passage from the outside of the filter to its interior. Filtrate flows through the first conduit, then through the filter housing outlet port, thence through the mounting member and finally exits the tank through the outlet pipe in the tank wall. A score line in the filter housing side wall permits ready removal of a section thereof to form an inlet port. Telescoping channel members on the outside of the filter housings allow them to be interconnected with the outlet port of one in fluid flow connection with the inlet port of another.
Abstract: A window pour mold has an outer wall mounted against a front wall and a back wall of a wall mold for a concrete wall. The outer wall has a top that extends from the front wall horizontally for a short length and obliquely downward on a curve for a longer length.

Abstract: A hooked plate is pivotally attached to a generally straight plate which is strapped between the user's wrist and forearm with the pivot near the wrist. An elastic strip holds the fingers on a tongue on the outer circumference of the hooked plate. The appliance walls, openings, and the fastening arrangement for the strip to the hooked plate and for attaching the straight plate to the users arm are for enabling self mounting on the hand by the quadriplegic user.
Abstract: A structural foam billet made from a plurality of blobs of foam forming stock which are spaced from one another in a predetermined order and expanded into the structural foam billet.
Abstract: A window pour mold mounting system in which a window pour mold buck or window frame form in the wall mold is mounted at any one of a plurality of different heights using the same customarily available wall mold panel connector hole, and a tie guide on one location on the window pour mold.
Abstract: A method of assembling a sheet binder mechanism to a binder cover includes making holes in a board in predetermined alignment with a plurality of fastening means on the binder mechanism, inserting bracket means in the holes preferably so that the board retainably holds the bracket means, attaching the board to the binder cover, attaching a binder cover liner to the board on the side of the board that is away from the attachment of the board to the binder cover, and attaching the sheet binder mechanism to the binder cover by driving a thread making fastener into the bracket means.
Abstract: A concrete liquid storage tank is supported by only three support points which rest upon a slab in permanent installation, which prevents twist forces being applied to the concrete shell of the tank in the event of vertical differential movement of portions of the slab under the support points, which prevents cracking of the concrete shell and leakage of contents to the environment.

Abstract: A housing designed to be anchored in concrete includes a handle and a pivot for moving the handle between an upstanding position and a generally recessed position with respect to the top of the housing. The pivot may extend from the housing for anchoring the housing in the concrete.
Abstract: A flexible sheet having the back coated with a glue is formed into panels which are folded back on themselves with at least one layer being the back glued to itself by the coating. In one embodiment the glue is an energy responsive adhesive, and energy is applied to the folded sheet while it is on a cover, so that a cover having the cover liner with reinforced pocket is made.
Abstract: A plastic fluid distribution box for installation in a subterranean system for waste water transport includes a first wall having an opening in the wall, and an elastomeric seal mounted in the opening and including a second wall. The second wall is permanently and sealingly attached to the first wall adjacent to and around the opening. The elastomeric seal includes a third planar wall having an annular separation ring defining a second opening dimensioned to provide a watertight fit on a pipe of predetermined dimension. Walls connecting the third planar wall to the second wall are angled with respect to the planar wall by an angle selected from the group of angles consisting of generally 90 degrees and generally 180 degrees.
Abstract: A sash of a hopper window is linked to a shoe which engages a track in constant resistance to travel along the track such that the sash can be tilted by hand to any angle from the track within a predetermined range of angles, and will remain at the angle unaided.
Abstract: A bumper system adapted to be mounted on a vehicle includes an elongated, inflatable bag fastened by its two ends and by opposed longitudinal ribs to and within a shell having a concave front and a forward facing impact support beam behind the shell spacedly attached to the shell. A rotatable impact energy transfer element is connected to the shell so that it is adjacent to the circumference of a wheel of the vehicle, and the axis of rotation of the transfer element is parallel with the axis of rotation of the wheel of the vehicle.
Abstract: A unitary composite frame member of two or more structural elements. A first and a second of the elements each contributes strength to the member. The second element, a plastic, encloses the first element on essentially all surfaces along the length of the first element, and is molded to itself through recesses of openings in an edge of the first element. The first element is discontinuous in that it is two walls attached lengthwise, and a third wall parallel to them and separate from them. In one embodiment, the third wall and one of the two walls intersect laterally.
Abstract: A lead terminal post extending upward through the top of an insulator wall of a battery includes a plurality of flat vertical sides fused continuously from its top to below the top of the insulator wall, to a harder, metallic, cap having a plurality of flat vertical sides. The metallic cap is covered with a plastic cap that extends below the metallic cap, below the top of the insulator wall, and is sealed to the insulator wall. A terminal bar having parallel walls extends from a flat wall of the cap, through the plastic cap, normal to the flat wall, and contains a removably mounted connector having a leaf spring connection with the terminal bar and an element within the connector adjacent to and connected to the leaf spring, that prevents horizontal rotation of the connector on the bar. A plastic overseal on the connector makes a seal with the plastic cap when the connector is fully mounted on the terminal bar.
